Terraria or Minecraft?

I was having a discussion with some friends about which one is more enjoyable, and while I prefer Terraria, I'd love to here other people's viewpoint.

I sometimes have trouble running Minecraft, but I've played enough of it to get a feel for it.

What do you prefer, or neither? Some other world building/crafting game?

That's a tough question, I've played both games before and I liked them both but I never really thought about comparing them. I have to say I like Minecraft more, based solely on the fact that I've spent more hours playing it, but Terraria is pretty good too.

I'm going to have to say Minecraft. I don't have too much experience on Terraria to be honest and it’s not something that I ever really got into properly when I did play it.

Minecraft though – truthfully I've probably lost whole days of my life on this game over the last few years and it's been my 'main' game whilst I've had a bit of a 'lul' when it comes to console games. It's something I can't get enough of. The controls are a bit counterintuitive to me (especially the PS3 version I bought last week) but once you get the hang of it, it's great.

Another crafting game certainly worth while playing is currently in Alpha stages but regularly updated – '7 Days To Die'. If you don't know what it is, combine Minecraft with 'better' zombies, slightly more realistic visuals and you're not far off. Another hugely addictable and enjoyable game.

Mine raft. I've played both and my friends tend to want mc. While I have jumped into Terraria it just doesn't of it the way Minecraft does. Both have their players that love them though.

I really can't comment on these games because I haven't played them- but I have seen them on Youtube and just the graphics is a real turn off. I don't know, maybe that's the charm of it, but those clunkie, choppy grapfics in Minecraft have always made me stay away from the game. Maybe I'll give them a try just to see what the fuss is all about.

I would have played Terraria if I hadn't started playing Minecraft. I have never played the game therefore, I don't know how it compares with Minecraft. By the way, there is no other sandbox game like Minecraft.
