I would still take into account the highly priced proprietary disk drive that you'd still have to buy. I think a lot of people forget that when looking at the Vita's slowly deteriorating price, but it's important to remember that you'd probably still have to spend $100 on the microdisk on top of the actual console purchase. So no, I don't think it's worth it at that price. I'm personally just going to wait for them to bundle it in with the PS4, if it happens, since I've read on this forum that it was rumored, if I remember correctly.

Well, I actually do think it's worth it. I mean $169 is basically the same price as a Nintendo 3DS by itself. So, when I compare the two, I would choose the Vita, especially considering that it comes with a few games also. If I were you, I'd go for it as the Vita has been getting better these past couple of months, and with the PS4 about to be released now is the best time to have a Vita.

The bundles have been really good value and I think its a good way to break in the Vita honestly. Nothing is worse then putting all the money out for the system and then not having anything to do on it. I found that to be the truth when I was sitting with my 360 trying to figure out what I should do with the thing. I was walking along game stop and my buddy grabbed Mass Effect 1 ($12) and I was like...eh I'll put another couple bucks into it and then all of a sudden days passed.

PS 4 I plan on being a little better prepared for so I'll have a game budget with it.

Bundles are the best way to buy most any console. They are usually great deals. Like the 3DS the Vita launched without having a strong library behind it, but if you check out the release calendar for it, its actually getting some interesting exclusives this fall and winter. So, this may be a good time to jump into one, if you think its worth your money. (though the same can be said for being a day 1 adopter for the next-gen systems)

They managed to pack around 5 games for the PSVita, none of them being the must-haves for it.
How did Sony managed such a thing, it baffles me.
Yeah, not worth it!
