Were the "exclusives" of the PS2 worth it?

I loved my PS2, but it wasn't because of the exclusives. In fact I can't think of many exclusives for the PS2. There was God of War of course and... I am honestly running something of a blank. But like I said exclusives weren't really a thing for me regarding the PS2. In fact I don't care too much about them on the Xbox360 and I shan't care much on the PS4. But now that we've talked about me - how do you feel about PS2 exclusives such as they existed?

For me they definitely were, in fact most of the games I owned on my PS2 were exclusive games. For me, the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy games alone were worth having a PS2 for. Not only that, at the time, a lot of other great RPG's were exclusive to the PS2, as well as some of my favorite fighting games such as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3

I think it was. I was always envious of the PS2 back when I had my Gamecube because there were a lot of good games for it that I couldn't play. One of the first ones I got was Dragon Quest VIII, which I had seen the review for on X-Play (before I got my PS2). It just looked so awesome, and I've always been a fan of RPGs, but I was extremely disappointed that it wasn't released for the Gamecube.

I loved the PS 2 exclusives. It's what made the console unique. It's what made the PS 2 one of the best consoles of all time. Titles like Ico and Shadow of the Colossus come to mind if you're looking for a one-of'a-kind gaming expedience. Okami, Final Fantasy XII and Rogue Galaxy are there to accompany the RPG enthusiasts. Of course God of War is a must play as well as Gran Turismo. There were a lot of exclusives in the PS 2 to keep you busy forever.

I think the PS2 was so far ahead of the competition that most of the games for it might as well have been exclusive. Even if some games were released for other consoles, it wouldn't be like they would have had as much attention as the PS2 anyway and to some degree they might as well have been non existent. I'd say the ones that really made it memorable, at least for me, were the FF and GOW games, and also Def Jam Fight For NY. I find those games to have the most replay value.

PS2 did have a lot of good exclusives, but that was back when the Gamecube was in its heyday. I got the PS2 after playing both the Gamecube and Xbox, sort of as an afterthought. But once I started discovering all of its hidden gems, I knew it was a mistake to wait so long to give it a shot.
