What are you expecting from Mirrors edge 2?

As the title of the thread says, what are you expecting from the game? Is it graphics, is it gameplay? Or maybe everything in between?

I personally hope they make an evolutionary combat system, I'm really hoping for that, what about you?

Combat? In Mirror's edge?

I want them to reboot the story (which it seems like they're doing), and have a more open platforming with various manners of doing things so that Raes won't be a matter of redoing the same obstacles over and over again, trying to shave a few seconds off.

I'm hoping for a longer campaign with an interesting and well developed storyline, maybe a combat system, but not with guns (that wouldn't fit the game in my opinion) and a multiplayer mode so the game can be played with friends and last longer.

I'm hoping that the way they set it up in the open-world that it doesn't completely ruin any since of fluidity. Being able to constantly move and not have to stop and figure out where to go was the high point of Mirror's Edge so they'll have to figure out a way we can traverse rooftops without having to stop every few minutes to figure out a path to another building. On the other hand this might be how the game ends up and still be awesome. Almost like a puzzle game based around free running.

I have great expectations for this game

First, a long life! It was the main flaw of the first game. then I would like the game to be Open-World and you can wander around town.

Then a combat system and improve keeping the same graphic and colorful style of Mirrors Edge 1.

Also keep a superb OST as in the first game

Without you lie, I think Mirrors Edge 2 will make the series even more popular than before.

I think better graphics is a given. Though I'm expecting a far more in-depth story, updates and improvements to the gameplay, and better platforming. The game reminds me a lot of Remember Me, great ideas but some sloppiness in execution. I want to really work her out and feel like she's moving freely and not just around the same obstacles over and over again.

Graphics definitely. Also, physics and more seemless animations. Jumping from a pole to a platform for example wasnt the most realistic thing

Integration with the Oculus Rift ;)

Have you seen the video with the young man that hooked his Oculus Rift up to Mirrors Edge 1? It's hilarious to watch -- I think it's on YouTube. You get that feeling of falling, and the terror of almost missing. It would definitely add another layer to it.

I'd also like just a treadmill, so I could run along with Faith. I think we need more games that give the option of physicality. I know it's not necessary, but I think with some of these games it would almost give you a larger appreciation for the story that you're experiencing. (Imagine Fallout with no fast-travel and treadmills....)

The one thing that they really need to make the free running seamless. Sometimes Faith looked ridiculous and things didn't make much sense. I felt a slight jerkiness in the controls. I think the graphics are a given, their working with the PS4 now so it should look like a next-gen game. Just make sure that the platforming and story is tight and I'll be happy.

If anything, the lack of any gameplay at E3 2014 suggests that EA is willing to give this game some slack to shine through when it finally comes out. So let's see how it's going to turn out.

for me the issue with Mirrors edge was that unless you knew the level's you couldn't "flow" moves together. It was a case of trial and error, which was a bit frustrating. Example being sometimes you didn't know the route so would have to go look for it, only to realize if you had kept running in a certain direction from where you had came you could have jumped/wall ran etc. It was all a bit too stop starty for me.

I also found the control system extremely cumbersome. Jump, hold turn, R2, yada yada yada. I'd personally like a more intuitive control system that i feel could let me express myself better.

I love the concept though and if it's anywhere near how much fun it is with titan fall getting to a to b, then ME2 will be superb!
