Why Motogp14 is the best racing game.

Been thrashing this game loads of late. And the more i play it the more i love it, the more i think this is possibly the best racing game i've ever played.

I'll start with reason one, and i have MANY more reasons but i won't bomb you all with them now, but one at a time

Reason 1 .. the visuals..this kind of doesn't need much explanation

Reason 2 _ The Controls

In car racing games, especially games like GT and Forza, the player who has the expensive driving wheel set up is at a HUGE advantage over the player that just uses the controller.

Not so in MotoGp. There are no bike controllers, which means everyone who plays is on an even playing field. This is HUGE for time trials and online racing aspects as you know the man / woman your racing has all the same tools YOU have also so ultimately it's ALL FAIR, which makes a huge difference for racing games.

I am still interested in this game but its not a priority game for me at the moment.
I may buy it a little later when I can get it cheaper.

Reason 3 and 4 - The act of racing itself and the physics.

The thrilling part of motobike racing is that as the bikes are only as wide as a mans arse, it's very hard to take a defensive line and what genarally happens is side by side racing through corners. In car racing if a car is on the racing line but slower it's sometimes hard to over take. Itss not dead simple to over take here on Motogp but as it is easier it lends itself to much more thrilling racing.

Add to this the extra dynamic of Motogp is the fact it's not just about the racing line it's about the LEAN as well. You may indeed be on the right bit of track and the right speed at the right time, but if your LEAN is wrong, then you'll be compramised.

Add to this as the physics of the game are spot on, in so much as you can't just throw the bikes around like an arcade racer as even on the basic of settings you can quite easily come off, adds the to the challenge of the experience.

So when you put that all together it makes for a unique challenge getting the bike around the track. It's accuracy is spot on with the physics/bikes. The proof of that is for example Marc Marquez's best lap real world time at Mugello is a 1.47.5 time, and the best i can do ever, and i'm 200th in the world on this time trial at the moment is a 1.48.1.

The games racing, handling, physics are THAT spot on it's incredible!
