Will you still continue to play the PS3 after the release of the PS4?

Just throwing out a question but will you still continue to play the PS3 after the release of the PS4? Ever since the release of PS3, the PS2 has been dead and barely any new games are released for it.

For me, I might play the PS3 with my friends because it plays a big role in my heart and I truly adore it.

But how about you guys? Will you still continue to play it? Will you sell it? Will you donate it?

Share with us on what you will do with it!

I'm still playing it and will be for a few years. Have a huge backlog of games (something like 25+ games) and I think I won't be getting a PS4 until at least middle of next year (when InFamous: Second Son release)

Of course I'll still be playing it, it'd be a complete waste to get rid of it. I don't have a PlayStation 4 yet, but even when I do get my hands on one, I'll be using my PS3 for all my older games. There's no Backwards Compatibility yet until they release their Genkai stream thing, and that's not gonna be until next year I believe. Plus, just because the new one is out doesn't mean everyone has switched over, there's still SEVERAL people playing the current-gen titles over newer ones, and will probably continue to do so unless it's not on the current one.

Why wouldn't I? I've had my PS3 for several years, and I still own all of my games for it. Selling it all just to get a few bucks would be silly. Plus I wouldn't be able to replay some of my favourite games. The lack of backwards compatibility on the PS4 is also a pretty huge issue, and since there are no emulators I pretty much have no other option.

Of course I will.
There are still too many games for the PS3 that I want but just haven't had the time to play. Mostly JRPGs and stuff like that. Not only that, but there's also Persona 5 coming out for PS3 next year.

I see no reason not to. The PS4 is not backwards compatible after all and the PS3 has some very good games which I am pretty sure can last another year or two.

I will probably play it for a while because funds have been tight these days. I have to save up for Christmas and will probably try to buy it in the spring time when it is on sale. I am still playing a bunch of games I bought for it. I might just buy it when I get Watch Dogs.

Absolutely. After all, to play the PS4 I have to get one first :P

In reality though, without backwards compatibility there will be no other choice for playing PS3 games.

I'll definitely still play PS3, after all, it's not like the graphics are now that bad just because the next generation consoles have been released. :D And even then, I still play PS1 games now so I doubt I'd get tired of PS3 games anytime soon. That, and I still have a lot more PS3 games to check out and finish anyway.

Yes of course, I don't have the PS4 yet so I have to stick with my faithful PS3. I'm waiting for a decent price drop before buying the PS4, that might take a while.
