What is the worst voice acting you have come across in a game? My boyfriend claims Dead Island gets the award from what he has seen online, but I have yet to experience it. I did find one character in Skyrim with the worst voice actor ever. He sounds like one of those AI "personality" programs you can get on PC, that respond to what you type or read it out loud. Terrible.

The worst voice acting I've ever seen was in Oblivion. The beggars would literally switch voices and accents from sentence to sentence. It could be really jarring.

Have you ever played Resident Evil?! OMG, they are NOTORIOUS for HORRIBLE voice-overs! At first it's annoying but in the end it just becomes comical. More recent Resident Evils have improved over the earliest games on PS1 but they're still ridiculous!

I agree with Resident Evil. That is the first thing that comes to mind anytime I hear the mention of bad acting. Barry in particular was amazingly awful. His "I hope that is not Chris' blood!" line in the dining room was always a favorite.
The original Silent Hill also had some bad voice acting. Especially Harry Mason when you are just wondering the town at the start and he is talking to himself. Like at the diner when the radio starts going off on the counter and he says something like "Hmm, a radio. I wonder what is going on with that radio?".
But Resident Evil 1 wins by far for overall bad voice overs. It was right on par with a 80's Italian movie dubbed in English.

Hands down the worst voice acting in a game is the first Resident Evil. Followed shortly by Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2. I mean come on. Those games were awesome but no one can say that the acting was great. We just wanted to spend as much time as we cold flinging body parts around and laughing at the ridiculousness of it all.

Otherwise, Chaos Wars is terrible (seriously, go YouTube it... it's so bad, you just have to laugh). They actually hired a real child actor instead of having an adult do it, like a normal game would, and the kid they chose is absolutely unintelligible at times. The other actors aren't much better, but this kid really takes the cake. It's hard to take the game seriously!
