Xbox One will accept current-gen gaming headsets

Contrary to prior reports, the Xbox One will actually allow the use of current gen headsets. This is pretty good news for Microsoft as lately they have been dealing with the fact that many gamers were upset the new system wasn't able to use current headsets like the PS4 will be able to. Still, Sony does have a slight advantage as the PS4 will ship with it's own headset.

Well I guess that kind of makes sense, not allowing current next-gen headsets would really just be a kick in the teeth for anyone buying the Xbox One. While I enjoy the fact that the PS4 will come with a headset I doubt I'll find myself using it very often when I do get one simply because there are very few people I would actually want to talk to on PSN.

I never use my headset. Most of my social gaming happens on the PC. Still, this is a nice perk for those who don't want to buy yet another piece of equipment for the upgrade.
