Man plays GTA V for 38 hours in order to beat it as quickly as possible!

Wowsers. That's... extreme. No way I could do that. Wouldn't even attempt it. I mean, good for him and all, but GTA is not a game to be rushed through, you take it in and take your time. That's the beauty of the game.

That's insane and not worth it at all! GTA is one of those games you take your time in and go exploring! You do all the side missions and find all the hidden stuff. It wouldn't even be fun to beat it that fast. Not to mention I would be so tired after playing for that long! And that tired you would not get the full fun out of the game. Yeah that's crazy and not too cool of him!

Im sure taking my time with it.Everytime Im about to continue with story something else pops up and I think 'Better go do that first' lol.

Kudos for his accomplishment, but that's a severely unhealthy thing to be doing to yourself. Exhaustion from extremely long gaming sessions can really be damaging, sometimes causing death. I don't think 38 hours is nearing the fatal requirements but this is not something I would do more than once in my life.

As everyone said, why would you finish GTA in 2 days? The game was not meant to be finished in 2 days. He's got it all backwards, I say take as much time with it as possible. GTA is an experience to be taken in and not blitzed through just so you can say online that you finished it in 2 days.

I guess GTA V is one of those games where "Speed Run" videos are not applicable. :D

Kudos to the man who finished the game in one sitting (with occasional CR breaks). My hats off to you.

Now he'd just have to beat his first timer ;o FINISH IT IN LESS THAN 38 HOURS! Some of the things he wrote just made me laugh though .

3:31 a.m.: Is it just me, guys, or is it kind of crazy that they spent $250 million on the fifth ever of anything? Crazy in both directions, dudes! First, it’s only the fifth-ever Grand Theft Auto, and they’re already up to $250 million. What is Grand Theft Auto X going to cost? Second, like, how much did they spend on the fifth Nightmare on Elm Street? Not $250 million, brother. ;)

Sounds hardcore, would of been cool if he livestreamed it or recorded it.

Excellent point. He should have livestreamed it! I would have watched as much as I could. Though he did have a copy of the game before it was released so he would have been breaking his contractual agreement if he livestreamed it. Oh well, he could have recorded it and played it back on the day that the game was released.

LOL. True. I don't think $250 million should ever be spent on a video game or any entertainment production for that matter. There are more important things like starvation, homelessness, poor educational quality and the roads all around that are full of potholes. Us humans really don't have our priorities straight.

What a doof. At least his article got a quarter of a million views - which even then, isn't a whole lot compared to the views other junk on Buzzfeed gets. The photoshop'd pics look pretty decent, I'll give him that.

That's freaking crazy. I would take it slow and enjoy every moment I get with that game. It is such a great game and you'll miss so many cool things just breezing through it.

I wonder if he enjoyed what he played. I don't think he did. GTA is meant to be played slowly. This guy wasted his $60.

I think that playing any game for 38 hours straight is insane. He would probably have to sleep for hours just to recover from that, then it would take at least a few days to reset his sleep cycle. I could never really see myself sleeping past 3am nevermind gaming for that long. I hope he doesn't do that one again, or he's in for a few health issues...

38 hours in one sitting…?! Holy heck…! Now that's what you call serious dedication to the task in hand! Back in my teenage years I’d done six/seven/eight hour gaming sessions in one go (I think I’ve even done the odd nine hour session before now), but never more than that.

Indeed. The GTA series of games aren't really designed for speed runs to the open nature of the environments. I don't see the point in rushing any game though to be fair. When I was younger, there was always an 'unofficial' competition amongst friends to see who could finish first, or get to certain points at least. I just can't enjoy a game that way. I like to take my time and explore and know by the time I've finished, I know I probably wouldn’t have missed all that much out to go back for.

I recall GTA V taking me over 50 hours (not in one go!) to complete. I'm sure my save file is somewhere up in the high 60's now as I'm trying to get as close to 100% as possible...

I got GTAV for Christmas and I'm still working on it. But 36 hours is insane. I've done 12-14 hour gaming sessions before with small bathroom and food breaks and even then, I was exhausted. Haven't done that in a while though. Most recent was like 8 or 9 hours online playing Dead Space 3. My girlfriend was not happy about that, lol.
