ps3 games not working in ps4

Sony has come out since the beginning saying the PS4 is not going to be backwards compatible, just like the PS3 can't play PS2 games, just like the XBox One can't play XBox 360 games.

They mentioned this back in the summer. Hopefully these games will become available per the PSN store. But no the PS4 is not backwards compatible. Hey Mista, another user was saying that the ps4 doesn't recognize the ps3 disc and some won't eject them once their in. Have you had this problem?

Ok i needed help not sarcasim .... if you know the answer it would be helpfull.
Not only has it been stated by Sony that disk game but also downloaded titles will not work. There has been talk about the digital games possibly being able to be played in the future. Add to that the fact that GTA5 is not coming to the PS4 or XBOX one. I am sorry for the sarcasm but I honestly thought you were trolling.

This was already announced a long time ago...
There's no backward compatible (unfortunately), so you'll have to play GTAV on your old PS3, sorry.

If they do these over digital software, we should be able to throw in our old discs and have them added to our collection or get the ps4 version for free on the psn. I would personally hate to have to buy them again.

Yeah it's unfortunate but Sony was pretty clear on this. It's sad that backwards compatibility is a thing of the past but the industry is trying to push us towards things like the cloud and digital downloads. Just enjoy on your PS3 for now until the game goes on sale and then get it for the PS4.
