What do you think Rockstar is planning for GTA V DLC?

Personally, i think they may just do some in game additions instead of full blown stories because of the fact that in Ammu-Nation, it has the full rack of normal weapons, but then it also has the wall to the right of it that you are able to scroll over, but it has no weapons on it. I suppose this is an invalid point though since they may just use that for the new guns when the DLC comes out because the normal weapons will already be on the wall.
I really thought what they did in GTA IV with merging all the stories together was amazing and innovative but i kind of hope they dont do that this time. Its very hard to say what DLC theyre going to be able to come up with other than maybe a new location or just some touch ups like weapons, cars, etc. What do you guys think?

You know the will these days with piracy and all the different ways developers and video game companies advertise and pay big salaries means they have huge overheads and basically are like a movie studio that needs to milk everything they can out of any given entity, a couple duds can put your company in financial strife confining you to do inferior work and making products to more or less pay the bills.

Obviously this is not Rockstar's problem the GTA series is any game developers dream series next to Mario and Madden I would suspect. But make no mistake there will be expansions and whole new games within that game created and it will probably be able to be downloaded in less than a year. I could honestly see a whole set of other characters that interact on the peripheral of the GTA V lead characters and have their own mission packs.

Yeah im guessing theyll still do their normal thing of having new characters as the DLC and add new content with that, but i really hope they can do something other than that. I thought it was an amazing thing story wise but it makes me feel like im obligated to play the DLC if i have it because the only way to get the new content is to be playing on that DLC. I hope it they do that, that at least they will add the new stuff to the normal game if you buy the DLC aswell.

I think the GTA DLC pack will most likely have some new missions to add on, as well as some new customization tools to the game. They never give you a whole new journey or anything, but rather something that will persuade you into purchasing it.

I wouldn't mind seeing some add-ons that let you explore the world through the perspective of some of the side characters you meet along the way. I'm not all the way through it yet but I think there's a select few that might be interesting. On top of that maybe some new missions, and more customization elements/features.

I hope they do something similar to Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption. That piece of DLC was better than the game itself and that's saying something as the game was amazing! If done properly with GTAV They could have an instant smash hit on their hands.

ooh probably a story related DLC and side missions. Of course you can't go without new weapons and vehicles.

As Andrew172 mentioned I think it would be a fantastic idea to do a "zombiesque" DLC. Imagine zombies in downtown San Andreas -- the car-smashing part of Dead Rising was the best part, anyway!

I always slightly expect that GTA5 will bring in DLC that is similar to some of the sillier aspects of Saints Row 3.

I always considered Saints Row to be a competitor of GTA and so it makes sense for them to want to bring in some elements of that game to compete with it.
