What Games Are You Terrible At?

I'm not really particularly good at any type of game, but I consider myself to be above average when it comes to a few fighting games. As far as games I'm terrible at, however, I'd say I'm really bad at platformers as I really have no skill or patience to jump around and risk dying every time I do so. In fact, I don't think I've ever finished any one platformer game including Sonic and Mario, although I did get relatively farther than usual in Sonic. I thought this deficit of mine was limited to 2D games too until I got a hold of Tomb Raider 1 & 2 and discovered that I also sucked at those equally. If it hadn't been for my friends who played those games obsessively, I don't think I would have ever seen the stages past the third ones. Anyway, which genres of games are you terrible at? If not any particular genre, then what specific game?

All of them mostly. Half the time I have to get my wife to beat something difficult for me. Although I am doing pretty good in GTAV, then again people say its the easiest one yet. I am like an hour and a half into The Last of Us and already stuck on some "clickers"

20 or so years ago I used to be able to beat arcade games on one or two quarters, and now? :( it really, really stinks getting old lol

I am bad at FPS games. And the thing is, I don't enjoy them, so I have zero desire to improve my skills in them.

I'm not very good at RPG's any more. Once in a while I can still get heavily invested into one, but I am just so much better at racers/shooters/platformers/fighters than I am with character building.

I think my Achilles' heel will always be the RTS genre. If it's something like Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre, i can still manage, but when it comes to pure RTS, like Civilization or Starcraft, i don't seem to have the skill necessary for it at a level above beginner.

I suck at most games like devil may cry or bayonetta. Some reason I just...suck. Sometimes I can do epic combos but I mostly get lost or killed a lot. Also Dark Souls, I wasn't that bad at but there were times where I was like "WTF IS WRONG WITH ME" then I realize...everyone has that problem with Dark Souls. ha

In terms of online play? Anything not sports related. I used to kill in Black Ops haven't really gotten into too many more games online. With my work schedule and lackadaisical internet in the town I work in three weeks out of the month I haven't had much time to get online and hone my skills.

I'm terrible at dance games as well as certain racing and sports games. I played a game of Gran Turismo and I quickly lost interest in it as I dropped the controller afterwards. Ice hockey, soccer, baseball. and American football games are also my Waterloo.

Well said! I feel this exact same way about some types of games and it actually reminded me of how much I suck at FIFA and most other sports games. What's terrible is that my friends love them and often force me to play with them and it feels like work to me when they do that. :D

Aw man that sucks. Games should never be work. Maybe make them play something you want to play after playing sports games.

I'm not that good at racing games. I think it's just because I don't hardly ever play them. It's the same as someone who's never played FPS... they suck!

MOBA games, and fighting games. League of Legends, Dota 2, Heroes of Newerth, so on. I just can't wrap my head around why I'm so awful at them. I know it's not a game you can just pick up and be instantly good at since a lot of the champions/gods/whatever counter each other in some aspect, but I just get so face rolled every time even when playing against other new players. Fighting games are no different. It's so much easier for me to run around with a gun and just shoot people, instead of having to remember complex combos, remember frame counts, and distances for which certain moves will hit or miss. x/////////x Just can't do it man.

Strategy based RPG or campaign games. Stuff like AOE. I simply don't have the patience to sit there and make people by harvesting food and mining gold.

Oh man, tell me about it. A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with the Civilization games, and I just don't see how. I like my games long, but that's only if it's an engaging story or something similar, not because each turn takes 45 minutes in which nothing happens besides learning a new technology or bringing diplomatic piece to an ally I have yet to actually encounter.
