Friends sign on and off?

Hey so i liked on my ps3 when i could see when my friends got on and and off online, think there will be an update for this to be an option? Before you chew me out lol i understand we can have 2000 friends and if you had that many it would really get in the way, but for people like most the people i know with not even close to that many atleast make it an option for us to choose when our friends get on and off. Or atleast be able to make a favorites list of who we want to see go and come.

I have looked everywhere and also seen on other forums people talking about it not doing it bc of the 2000 friend list

Yea i hope Frantic can prove me wrong but im almost positive it isnt an option

I am sure this will be on for the PS4. If the PS3 had it then the PS4 would, but I do agree that it should have the option of turning it off and on. That would be really annoying to see during a game. I thought there was an option for that in the PS3? Good question though, let's hope we find an answer.

Looks it can not be done on ps4. I did try and hopefully they will add this functionality in a future. Really surprised it's not in their.

I haven't too seen the feature and I really doubt if the option would ever being optioned their on any console. It see it as a potential reason for increased prices which would as well reduce the number of buyers making instant purchases the moment new consoles are released.

It seems you can message people on PS3 but cannot see them online. It'll say something like "Sent from device other than PS3"

Yeah,but I think that needs to be patched on PS3 side as PS3 cant see Vita either but Vita user and see their PS3 friends online.
