Thoughts on more in depth character customization?

The character customization in the elder scroll online will be more in depth than ever. You will even be able to give your character a beer belly. What do you guys think about this? Personally it doesn't effect me too much. I spent about carefully crafting my character in Skyrim only to play the entire game in first person and never even see what he looked like anyway.

lol I agree with you on that. People used to put a ridiculous amount of time into designing their character only for them to either be in heavy armor with their face covered or the first person perspective. Character customization is something that is nice for those who actual RP their characters in a given setting if possible. I would want my character to look how I want him to since I'm going to be playing that character for awhile though.

Andrew hit the nail on the head. It doesn't matter if they're wearing armor or if they're in first person. If you're playing in third person then maybe it matters. You can kind of see your character.

I like finally being able to have a Redguard with a beer belly. I'm likely to never really see my character on a regular basic, but I still like being able to do that. As you guys said though, it ultimately doesn't matter.

The only time I played Skyrim in third person was when I was trying to level up sneak, and even then that was just so that I could get a wider camera angle at certain times. I think the game is predominantly meant to played in first person.

Yeah I play it mostly in first person and I might go to third person on occasion. You can easily spin around and get a good look of things in first person, especially in wide open places.

I think it's meant to be played in 3rd person view too. It doesn't matter about the beer belly, because well it doesn't really effect the performance or the game play for that matter. I love how it's more in depth and customers can be customized well beyond than before. I look forward to playing it, that's for sure!

The best thing about customization is that there shouldn't be any two or three characters that look a like...unless you're just trying to dive right in and know you're going to be clothed in armor 99.9% of the time.
