PS3 Features Compared To Xbox 360

How would you rate the overall features of the PS3 to the Xbox 360? Would you rate them better or worse?

I think they are pretty close to the same. I like them both equally! I have different things I use them both for, I use my PS3 more for fighting games and then also for Blue rays and Netflix, my 360 I use online for games a lot more and I like it much better for shooters. So they both have some features better but they even out in the end if you ask me.

I too, like both systems equally. I won't say both systems have similar features. One very noticeable feature about the Xbox 360 was its graphics, and how they were much better than the Playstation without HDMI. With the HDMI cord both systems have crisp looking gameplay and graphics. The Playstation also had a blue ray drive. The Playstation and 360 both came with great hard drive capacities though. At the end of the day, their both great systems to own.

I can agree with both of you above. I think both systems have excellent features. I will say that the Xbox 360 have better graphics as you metioned mareebaybay. That is something i have always liekd about the Xbox systems. Quality graphics.

It evens out for the most part, but I do think the PS3 has a slight advantage since you're getting a quality blu-ray player, plus, death from overheating was less present on the PS3.

I like the PS3 better than the Xbox 360. Both systems are good with graphics and some of the games, but PS3 had an advantage over the xbox when it came to certain things so I go for the PS3.

The maid difference of these two consoles are the game exclusives and the extra peripherals/accessories like the Kinect for the Xbox and the Move for the PS3. When it comes to peripherals, I think the Xbox wins it with the Kinect. It's advanced. When it comes to video game exclusives, the PS3 wins IMO.

By the way, the hardware of the PS3 is more powerful than the Xbox 360 but it really doesn't show in games. Most of the time, the Xbox 360 games even look a lot better.

The PS3 is definitely better.
If you want to make a fair comparison you have to look at the exclusives of each console and see how they look and run.
For example, Uncharted 3 and Last of Us are incredibly well optimized for the console and you can clearly see the graphical difference between the PS3 and the 360.

I think that the specs for the hardware is pretty even, perhaps slightly pushing in Sony's favor. The place where the Playstation's features will really come into their own, over the Xbox will be the potential for user created content. Indeed there is a lot of potential for great imagines to flourish on the Playstation. Little Big Planet is a perfect example of seamlessly this works.

Yeah i love the bluray player that the PS3 has, it is my favorite feature on the system.

Party chat was the only thing the 360 had over the PS3 in my opinion.

I enjoyed both consoles features, but the thing that sold me on the PS3, was its looks as a console. That is what I liked the most about the PS3 was the way it look, it just made you want to play it just because.

I've noticed that most games don't look as sharp overall on the PS3, but it also has a lot of benefits over the 360. Overall I think they're fairly evenly matched but then I have both so I don't really notice. I did notice right away after buying my PS3 that the voices are better synched to mouths in games than they are on the 360.

The one thing that pisses me off about the PS3 compared to the 360 is the lack of being able to sign up to 4 different profiles at once. Really lame.

Both awesome for difference reasons, although Xbox Games for Gold sucks compared to PS+ Free games collection.

Gold sucks just because you're essentially paying just to play online, which does suck, but from my short lived experience with Gold (that one free month that came with the console) it has a much better infrastructure than PSN.

They were pretty close if you think of it. I didn't buy either but I advised my cousin to buy the X360 (which I am using now), although I can't remember why I did that. Probably because the X360 was cheaper than the PS3 here.

PS3 actually has slightly better hardware, and thus slightly better graphics.. This is easily demonstrated by looking at skyrim from both consoles. The 360 version lags occasionally and takes forever to load, while the ps3 version is overall faster and crisper looking. I guess it depends on the games though. PS3 for me.

The main thing that was make or break for me between PS3 and 360 was online multiplayer and services being available out of the box. Outside of that, they were both neck and neck really.
