I really think it would be a good idea, its very common with username in MMOs. From a financial perspective Sony could charge money from it and make something out of it and fans would reap the benefit too, why not?

I hope they do because I know there are tons of gamers who would love that option. If you're a Japanese PS3 gamer, you can actually change your PSN ID for a price. Not sure why the rest of the world doesn't get the option.

Yeah,but then you would have 0 trophies and start from new,many people wanna keep all that info too.

Ah. Gotcha. I guess people who don't give a damn about the trophies wouldn't mind then. I personally don't care much about trophies. I play the game to win, not get achievements
Though I do admit it is sometimes fun to try and get certain ones for the sheer challenge of it.
