Do you utilize the World Wide Web on the Playstation 3?

I've used the browser to stream PPVs. Other than that, I just used YouTube on the PS3.

Why wouldn't you? The internet is the most powerful tool in the world and I wouldn't have half of what I have if I hadn't learned how to master it.

Because the browser on PS3 and typically consoles in general are ass. Best to use anything other than a console if you do anything other than look at videos.

I can't see any use for it whatsoever to be honest.

I reckon all the major social networks will have apps eventually.

There'll be third party browsers even.

Without Flash, it's useless to me as I can't use my *cough*perfectly legitimate*cough* streaming sites.

It DOES support Flash, though, doesn't it? I remember using it to stream videos recently...

I used the internet on the PS3 once and absolutely hated it because it was just so damn annoying, I mean like said above almost anything is better than it. The only thing besides games I used on the PS3 were probably Netflix and Hulu which were fine and better than my Smart TV versions. The internet browser though seems like a complete after thought though and just shoved in there to be there.

Someone at Sony rotated the browser block sideways at the last minute and threw everything off.

I didn't really use the browser on PS3. On occasion I'd look something up, but other than that, nope.

No Sidd, it doesn't We're talking about the assy browser. Netflix and those other apps that use the internet are okay. Generally they have one main task and do it well. Like Netflix is like the guy who you'd say "All you have to do is hold this rope for 30 minutes and make sure that piano doesn't fall. That's it."

Nope, I don't use the browser on the PS3 because I hated how sluggish it is to use. I tried it before to watch youtube videos and the stream lagged because I couldn't get the connection speed to the max. The other thing is I dislike typing without a keyboard, too much inconvenience.

I honestly had no idea that this was even a possibility until now, so no, I haven't. I haven't done much with my PS3 besides games. I've used Netflix once or twice, but that's about it. I don't really have a need for Blu-Rays and I'm not sure what else I could do besides internet or watch movies.

I only ever use the internet connection on My PS3 to go on PSN or, to play online Gears of War Tournaments, I almost never use the browser its to weird to use the controllers to typ in URLs.

I did not care for that mission at all and Smoke was getting annoying real fast.

I used it maybe one time but it's so clunky there's no reason to. Plus, I usually play my PS3 on my computer monitor, so it would be pointless. It's like the Wii browser that lost its appeal very quickly, but I guess if you needed to access the internet on your TV for some reason (which is becoming easier nowadays) it would be a good idea.

Even in that case there are now smart TVs that access the net via wifi, so you don't necessarily need to use a console to access the internet with your tv...

I tried to a couple of times and it was a horrible experience. Mouse control was not what I'm used too, and of course it doesn't load flash or some of the other things I've come to expect. My Laptop is in the same room, so is my phone and iPad, so I just grab those when I wanna get online.

I've always found browsing the web on the PS3 to be a bit of an issue. The same goes for the PSP. The problem seems to be the lack of quality (or features) of the integrated web browser, and the inability to choose a better one. It doesn't seem to be able to handle most elements of a page either, which can get annoying unless you surf only non-modern pages. It's fine for emergencies I guess, but 99% of the time I'll just use the laptop.
