PS4 Live PORN

Well it had to happen guys! I've had my console and camera since launch and tonight I've been looking on the live streams and saw a couple having sex. I suppose it was just a matter of time-I got the user reported by me and several other viewers. I don't care myself for it being there but there are that many young kids who have these consoles who will now have access to pornography. Cmon Sony do something about it and protect our children!

How is that sony's responsibility? IMO thats the job of the parents. These systems do have parental controls.

If a child can go crazy with joy in getting Grand Theft Auto 5 for Christmas, then their parents seriously need to reassess how they go about with parental controls. Same logic applies for this situation, and I seriously wonder why Sony should have to prevent those with voyeuristic fetishes like that couple you saw online.

I mean, yeah, they can set contingencies like sites such as TinyChat does, but young children getting PS4s as a “toy,” makes me wonder how spoiled some people can be honestly. This leads to those debates of how parents have double standards with being perfectly fine with their children playing games with blood and gore, but they would go to the ends of the earth with a pit pattering rage on why someone like Sony can’t prevent something like this.

I really have nothing to add, it's not Sony's job to watch your kids. They handle certain inappropriateness from their end and in the case of live cameras and stuff, they pretty much put the parental controls in there. Sony knew this was a possibility, but it they did their job in providing a tool. The parents have to use it and actually do their job.

Agree with all of the above, it's not Sony's problem when they've already put parental controls in place.

Kids have so many ways of accessing pornography these days, it's quite scary. They'll find a way to get their dirty hands on it one way or another

The parents need to be responsible and they need to police it. That is all i have to say on that subject!

Wait what? I didn't even begin to think about that. I think the only solution is for the parents to restrict their kids from going to the stream option. I don't know if the police could do anything about it, maybe they could even update their streaming policy. As the Ps4 is out longer, I think that we'll chop down more and more people who do this until there's none left.

Yeah, I am can not say I was surprised by this either and it kind of makes sense. If there is the ability to stream then people will try to do porn at some point. Maybe there should at least be a NSFW filter or something, do not actually know how all of that works on the PS4.

People are just weird and messed up. Maybe it's a little kinky if you know some adults are watching your amateur porn on a porn website....but would you actually be ok knowing some young kids are watching it on their PS4? That's a little stuffed if you ask me

It's definitely not Sony's fault, though Twitch.tv should step up on their algorithm, big time. Youtube bans nude easily though it might be harder for 'live streaming' but maybe twitch needs to hire me to work 12 hours a day for them to take ganders at each person that is streaming and monitor what they're doing. Shoot, they should make it so that an algorithm matches the content that someone is playing before they stream and will then find the game based off that image and you can't stream unless you do all that mumbo jumbo. I don't know, just talking out my butt haha.

Exactly. When did it become Sony's responsibility to watch your kids. There are ways to protect them from stupid people doing stupid things online. I wouldn't give a kid a camera to use the service, heck I wouldn't let them use the service. But that's just me. In any case, all you can do is be mindful of dumb people having sex on camera for attention.

Children shoudn't even be able to play 18+ games like GTA normally and wasn't pornhub the first adult site to support the PS4 ? I think I remember seeing an article about it on theporndude.com.

If you want the gov the handle that stuff, we'll loose a lot more freedom in the end. Just look at the 'porn' filter in the UK. Who knows what other sites they also block.

I'm not defending it but any child with any access to the internet has access to porn. Even on Facebook and Twitter.

The parents should pay more attention to their kids when they are on the internet. Sadly, it's not safe at all...

While this is pretty hilarious, Sony does need to monitor the playroom. Apparently people are fornicating just like they were on Twitch. I don't really get why you'd tape it, but hey to each their own I guess.
