Have you ever cried during a video game?

Anybody remember Rise from the Ashes in the first Phoenix Wright game? Yeah, that.

Also shed some happy tears at the end of TWEWY.

Was probably teary while playing 999 and VLR as because holy dang those stories were amazing.

Now why would you cry during a video game? I don't think any video game is touching enough to move someone to such an extent.
You haven't been playing the right games.

I sat through one day and played through all of The Walking Dead and I can not honestly explain it but if I see someone tearing or even think about it, right now I just started getting watery eyes, I kind of just go even if it's just a little. Really did kind of suck but hey at least that is how you know a game did it pretty damn well.

The only time I got teary eyed was when I watched the ending to Final Fantasy X. The ending was really saddening. I'm not going to say why because I don't want to give out spoilers since the HD remakes are coming out. Let's say it was a really touching love story.

I don't think that I've ever cried in a video game, but during movies, absolutely. Hell, I think even my hubby got a little teary eyed the one time that I made him watch The Notebook at the end. Although he will NEVER admit it ;)

UPDATE: I cried when my PS3 hard drive took a crap. I was a decent way through a bunch of games that I was working on. I think that was why I started playing my 360 more exclusively, TBH. I lost my memory card date on my 360 once, but the majority of stuff was saved on the hard drive, so it wasn't so epic and terrible.

Never had tears fall from my eyes but there were definitely some gripping emotional moments in some games I've played that have brought me close. The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain and I would say moments in the Metal Gear series. Mass Effect was also another. In the end I felt a lot of emotion. One for the fact I spent close to a 100 hours to lead up to that point, getting connected to characters and knowing it was over was emotional for me. Then I got more upset when I finally finished the original ending, lol.

I do not think i have ever cried during a video game. I remember getting frustrated when at times when I was younger when I had trouble playing a game but i never cried.

I'd cry too! Especially since I cannot afford a ps4 and let alone another ps3.

Many times during Persona 3, Persona 4 and Telltale's The Wslking Dead. Those are the most notorious...

I just realized I didn't mention Zero Escape, both 999 and Virtue's Last Reward made me really tear up at times.

Sudoku puzzle in 999 and Luna's ending in VLR... so sad, those that played these games know what I'm talking about. Fantastic example of games that use music to make scenes even more powerful, too.

The Walking Dead (Telltale Games) ending made me cry. I'm a 6'3 180 lbs fairly muscular guy and it made me cry, lol.

I've never, um, okay I almost cried during the game Brothers. It was a free download from PS Network. The game was sad from the beginning, then my heart drop at the end. I didn't think I would ever cry through a game!

I can't say that I have, but I have had a few close encounters with Final Fantasy. I'm not really the crying type, but I definitely get the feels.

The ending scene with Lee and Clementine in Season 1 of walking dead had me bawling my eyes out. I was playing with a buddy of mine and we both tried to play it off like we weren't affected at all by the feels.

Although, those sort of games are more like interactive movies to me than actual video games.

Hearing Yuna's Theme in Besaid Island in FFX reminded me of how sad that theme is. There was a point where I felt nearly crying listening to that song, think it was around two or three times.

Times i've had lump in my throats.. but not cried.

The ending of Brothers in Arms Hells Highway when Baker is talking to Red and then gives his end of game speech ( This will only really be hard hitting if you have played through the earlier PS2 brothers in arms games )
The opening sequence of The Last of Us.. .and HUGE spolier alert, for my review i'll post up soon, the Story DLC for it as well
Beyond Two Souls
Uncharted 3 spoiler.. When Drake thought Sully had been shot and killed in Uncharted 3

Times i cried when i was laughing so hard...

With a mate playing Fight Night 4. He started giggling at my character in PINK... doing the soft shoe shuffle, but was so weak all his punches were like handbags being thrown.
I started to giggle
He then started to laugh
I started to laugh
He laughed a lot
I laughed a lot
His missus then started laughing at him laughing at me
My missus came into the room and started laughing at me laughing at him

By this point both me and my mate had dropped our controllers and tears we're rolling down our faces because we were laughing so much

Times i've actually cried because i was sad

The day my PS3 died in my arms.... :( LOL

Oh man. I forgot about Hells Highway. Yeah. You just reminded me of that and it was really sad. Especially since Red is so critically injured. What made that especially hard was because you played as Red in Earned in Blood. Both were such good games. Though I never beat Earned in Blood. Got stuck on one mission and no matter what I did, I could not beat it.

Hmm...I know I've cried quite a bit during various games, but the one that always gets to me is when you're forced to fight Edge's parents in FFIV. Goddamn.
