General Thoughts On PS4 Experience

What are your overall thoughts on the gameplay for the PS4? How does it compare to the PS3? What do you like and what do you not like?

I haven't spent nearly enough time with my PS4. After a couple of days I got bored experimenting with it and went back to the PS3 and then the Wii U had Super Mario 3D World so I was playing that. I don't have enough to go on to give a review of it, because other than Resogun the games were okay. But that was very smooth and responsive though I don't like the touch screen the controller is good.

I really enjoy the PS4 and the gaming experience that it offers. I love the streaming capabilities, I love the GUI and the community as a whole. I think that this console is offering a user experience that we really haven't seen with any other console, past or present.

I haven't played or tried the PS4 yet but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I think when the games start to come out like Watchdogs, people will be extremely happy with their consoles. I still have the PS3...I gotta make the switch ASAP!

I'm loving my PS4 experience. I loved every PS experience I've had. While a more powerful console, the PS4 kept the interface as familiar to PS3 that it's not a drastic change. There could be a better selection of titles, but that will come with time.

The overall feel is great in my opinion. The way the profiles are handled i like. Fifa and 2k have been keeping me busy.
A issue i ran into over the weekend was the way friends are handled. I had a great match with someone on fifa and after the game their was not able to send a friend request. On the 360 i could go into friends, than recent tab and the name would have been in there.

The free to play games have been the highlight for me. When people were talking about the launch window titles these always seemed to be ignored. Warframe has dominated much of my early PS4 experience and I have to say I am hugely impressed with it.

As for things like the UI, that has been massively improved over the PS3 and I am just looking forward to what Sonys first party devs have coming out for the system in the future.

Yeah I think as the year progresses there will be some good games coming out. I have always been impressed the collection of games for all the Playstation systems.

So far, I've been enjoying the PS4 and I like what they've done with it. It's a good console and fun to use. That being said I won't really dive into it until the games that I bought it for come out. Until then, I still really like what the consoles doing. The controller feels good and the UI is great, very intuitive and nothing slows down while I'm downloading other games.

So far so good, very responsive, great UI, the free games have been a blast, graphics are amazing, its a great console and cant wait for what 1st party devs and 3rd party have in store for us.

Well put, sir.

I also think it's a shame people forgot about many great games for the launch lineup. The F2P games have really held my attention this time, I even spent money which I always said I wouldn't do with F2P games. People are too impatient expecting AAA's right out the gate, development timeframes and bug polishing be damned.

The PS4 itself is great, it's smooth and fast and you can download a game, play it at the same time with no lag at all. That's an achievement in itself.

I really like the PS4, slick new interface that is easy to navigate and understand. I like the new controllers, though the battery life on them leaves something to be desired, especially when comparing to the PS3 controller battery.

An annoying little things that bugs me, but not a huge deal, every time I turn on my second controller to play a game with a friend, it always asks for user or guest, I hit guest and I still have to say no to psn. Maybe there is an option to change this, but I have not seen it.

A lack of games is bothering me more than anything haha! That said I prefer the new controller and Sony throwing in a headset is a nice bonus, I really do appreciate the overall physical design as well, it looks a whole lot nicer than the PS3 and the Xbox One. The UI is pretty good but I don't spend a whole lot of time on there.

I'm not enjoying it as much as my PS3 right now, simply because of the game lineup. It's a great console, but the lineup right now just isn't the best at all.

The little I experienced of the PS4 I enjoyed. Then again PlayStation is like third gaming mistress (behind Nintendo and RPGs) so I'm going to like it regardless.

Love it. That's all that really needs to be said. If you played PS3 then PS4 is a really smooth transition. Better yet, if you played PS3 from launch you know what you're getting.

I'm absolutely satisfied with it. The improvements it has over the PS3 are perfect. The new Playstation Dynamic Menu is so much better than the PS3 XMB. Everything is much easier to navigate now. The controller also feels more comfortable to use than the DS3 with better weight and shoulder buttons.
