Games that deserve a sequel but didn't get any.

What are the games you thought were great and should have a sequel but faded into obscurity? I personally would have liked to see a Dante's Inferno 2 get made but it didn't. The game had its flaws but those can be rectified if only EA would make another one.

Still waiting for Half Life 3 and Doom 4. But on PS4 ofcourse :)
They always say 'its in the works' but we never really hear any official info.

Red Dead. I know a sequel is allegedly coming out, but I wish it would have been right at the launch of a new console. I don't think the games with the launch were as strong as they could have been. That's a technicality, I'll think of another one later.

I've been waiting forever for Half Life 3 but not even a single news about it. I'm already losing hope if we'll ever get Half Life 3. I did heard about Doom 4 last year about how they are jumping from the PS3 to the PS4 and make everything from the ground up. I hope it doesn't go into limbo or cancelled.

Bully! I feel like I've talked about it on here, so it should be known that I adore Bully and would love a sequel. Max Payne 3 came out 10 years later after the 2nd, so I still have hope.

I would also love a sequel to Jak 3.

I don't understand the long wait with MP3. It was like watching a movie more than playing a game. Soooo many cutscenes!
Too many infact.

Personally, I'd love to see another game added to the Red Dead franchise

I wouldn't mind seeing another Brothers in Arms game. Hell's Highway I enjoyed but I'd definitely like to see another one come out for next gen consoles.

Rival Schools did technically get a sequel, but it was pretty much forgotten after that, which I think is a shame because the second one was great. The mini games alone were entertaining enough that I could play it for hours, and even my friends had fun just watching or taking turns on it with me. I hear that it's rumored to make a comeback, and I sure hope they include the mini game in there somewhere when they do.

Hell's Highway ended on a cliffhanger didn't it? Where's that Furious 4 or whatever spin off? Great franchise but it's getting ignored for some reason...

Yes! Imagine Bully on next-gen consoles. The game would look gorgeous. Rockstar likes to take its time between releasing games, so who knows - maybe somewhere down the line they'll revisit Bully. Although, I would bet on a 2nd Red Read game before a 2nd Bully game.

I'm so glad to see two of you that said Bully! It's one of my favorite games of all time and I'm dying to have a sequel for it! I'm not sure where they would take the storyline in the second game, but I just know I would love it no matter what. Please, Rockstar, make another Bully game!

I know two games that deserved a sequel but for some reason haven't gotten one. These games aren't too old, but enough time has passed to make it obvious that they're never getting a sequel. I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned them yet: Split/Second and Vanquish.

I would like to see another entry in the Rogue Squadron/Jedi Starfighter series. There hasn't been a new game in this series for about 10 years now, but they are all great and really successful. Hopefully now EA are in charge of Star Wars games something will come soon.

I know the Portal series has been concluded in the second game, but I need more Portal! I need more GlaDOS! Also Half-Life 3 should be a thing by now! I would also love to see a sequel to Bioshock Infinite, although that game is perfect in on itself, I would love to see another version of the game set in another Tear.

For me the game that needs a sequel the most is Red Dead Redemption, it's just criminal that not only have we had no sequel, it still isn't available on the PC, I want to play it with mods!!

I think that's because Call of Duty took all its thunder. I wouldn't be surprised if another Brothers in Arms game never came to light. Though it is a phenomenal game series.

How are we defining "deserve a sequel" just because one of us might of enjoyed a game doesn't mean it really deserves a sequel. Sales are what makes a game deserve a sequel.

Anyways. Pokemon Puzzle League, I want more of that.

I don't agree with that at all. From a business standpoint yes but from a gamer and artistic standpoint, I don't think so. There are plenty of good games out there that would do well in a sequel but don't get them because of sales, such as Brothers in Arms and now Dead Space, Red Faction. All are great games that people would love to play sequels but because one game missed projections, they may not see the light of day again. Then you have games series that had a good initial game then they ended up pumping out sequels that don't always seem to be good. For example, TimeSplitters deserved a sequel but the last game a lot of people felt missed its mark. Medal of Honor too. In the push to make money and fill the bottom line, those game series got killed. Were those sequels "deserved" or should the series have ended on high notes?
