I always want mine shrink wrapped if I go in a store or order offline new. Handing you just the case is something they would do in like 90s cartoons when the character got a generically named video game.

Who's to know they aren't putting a used disc in.
Exactly, you could be getting someone's returned game.
Another reason I would never buy a new release game from EB Games (Gamestop).
Not to mention they are a rip off on games anyway.

I take it from the results of the poll most gamers are 90s kids huh? lol, well thats alright, the 90s was a great decade...

It really was. The decade overall had stuff I loved from my childhood, but as far as gaming is concerned there was a lot good that came out of it.

The 90s were awesome. I loved game difficulty from that period. Dark Souls is the only game that delivers a comparable difficulty off the bat in a 3D environment to me. Like timing, patience, and knowing your distance was everything in those days for action games, but now with 3D environments there's multiple ways to beat an enemy using an array of weapons.

For the most part, RPGs haven't changed. There's been different genres and gameplay elements, but mostly it's the same.

That's a thing I miss from the 90s: the game difficulty. It's cool that games allow for you to be more strategic with battles and navigating stages, but difficulty took a bit of dip.

I'm glad I'm falling into the majority here. Just had a thought, I think internet communities like this appeal to people in their college ages and older. I'm not surprised there are not many kids younger than early 20s. The way I see it, people posting on here are probably not new to forums. Like I said before, I was in middle school when I signed up for my first forum. They were all the rage in the late 90s and early 2000s and I was part of multiple communities. I've kind of noticed that forums are not that popular with people who are younger anymore. I could be wrong....I probably am wrong. Just something I just noticed in this thread :) Either that or there seems to be a lot of people posting here in their mid 20s and older because that is the average age of gamers too.

Two words: Social Media. That's where they younger peeps are.

Paperboy was near to impossible to beat. Yeah, games are easier nowadays, for sure.

Wow! I am in the middle category. Some people think around that age that many people do not play games, especially females. But you wouldn't believe how many women in my age bracket actually play and not just simple girly games, but hardcore fighting and sports game. Actually they are my two favorite type of games to play. You can catch me playing Madden, Battlefield or any sports and shooting game at any time of the day.

Well I'm getting old. But its nice to see that there aren't any whiny 13 year old's in here.

They're all on Instagram and whatever hip app is big today that I am not a part of. Nothing worse than whiny 13 year olds on a forum. Though the members usually self moderate those kinds of members and they learn a harsh lesson in how the internet works ;)
