How often do you play with friends on PSN

How often do you play with friends on the Network instead of playing on the same console? Now that I have a lot of internet friends it seems like we mostly play on the Network. It is great that you can play with friends who are in an entirely different country.

Playing with people from different countries, sounds cool. I would still rather play in person, with my friends. There is just something about, being able to rub their losses in their face, that can not be duplicated via the net. ;)

I want to learn how to do this. Is there a cost associated with it? I'm thinking there is if you are playing with people over the net. I have a lot of friends who play the same games I do - it would be cool to play with them.

I enjoy my friends company, so I like to invite them over to my house to play. We take turns hosting console parties, and it is so much fun!

No, there's not cost. It's free because you're just playing on the Playstation Network. Depending on the game you just go to the multiplayer area of the game and send an invite to your friend. Simple stuff.

I prefer playing with my friends on the same console. I've played on the Network several times, but... I don't know... it's just not the same gaming experience...

S-gamer, I can understand that. It's not the same as having somebody else in the room to talk to and build up some friendly competition with. It's just not the same. I would take online play over nothing I guess.

I like playing online. If you play on the same console, you have to split the screen and you can barely see your own screen. You can still talk to your friends, but just over a mic.

I only have friends that i know in real life added in every account i have, so everyone else is just for quick matches, i don't like adding people just for adding, i think that is just ridiculous.

I usually play with friends over PSN. It's just more fun for me because I can see my entire screen. I do usually have voice chat enabled though so I can at least hear my friend and he can hear me. It's not the same as being on the same console but at the same time it's easier for both of us to enjoy it.

I rarely play online with a friend that lives close. I would much rather beat a friend face to face. It would make the victory that much more sweet. It also would humor me, because I always get a kick out of beating my friends.

Online is a really beautiful thing. Ive met so many amazing people who im really good friends with online and playing with them is usually a ton of fun
