PowerA will be making X360-style controllers for the PS4

Thought I would share this as I know some gamers have a hard time getting comfortable with the PS3 controller (especially when it comes to first person shooters - myself included)

I was on Facebook and I saw somebody (AngryJoe) post this from E3:

Speaking of, does anybody have any issues when it comes to PS3 controllers? And what do you think of this controller?

Reminds me of one of those cheap controller for the PS2 during 2006. I personally enjoy the analog placements in the DualShock more than the Xbox360 controller, but maybe that's because i have small hands.

This looks like a really low-quality controller. If they polish it up a little bit, and remove the dust, I think it would look a bit better. Doesn't really look good either way though, the white shows too much, even though white and black are two good mixes, this one doesn't mix very well.

That really is ugly. I don't know why you'd want one like that for the PS4 unless you'd been playing Xbox exclusively until then. I grew up playing the PlayStation 1 and 2, but I've also had an Xbox and Xbox 360, so I can transition between the two different controller designs fairly easily. It does feel really weird when I do, though.

I really don't like the pad style the xbox controllers. So ugly and clunky. Honestly, I really think the playstation controller is the best controller on the market right now. It would have been more interesting to see a playstation style controller with a different color and skin.

I have absolutely no issues with the Dual Shock, nor have I ever had any. If I had any complaints, it would be that I still prefer to have most buttons in front instead of the current trend, but that's just mostly due to my inability to accept change. As for the Xbox controller, I've tried it out, but at this point I'm already so used to the Dual Shock that I didn't really like it very much. I have been seeing a lot of people who are complaining about PS controllers though, so if this would allow them to finally be happy with PS especially on this next gen when MS just aims to screw them (MS fans), then I'm glad this exists for them when their eventual decision to cross over comes.

Will that be a controller for the PS 4? I thought that the PS 4 controller would have a touch pad. The controller in the picture does not have any place for a touch pad. Also, I don't have problems with the PS3 controllers. They fit my hand perfectly. It feels oh so natural when playing games.

DId anyone ever have a hard time using the Xbox Controller, or was it just me? Whenever I played any games I always overshot the direction I was looking when I use the XBOX 360 analogs. Maybe it was just me? Does anyone know if the feel of the analogs of the PS4 are similar to the PS3?

From what I've read, the Dualshock 4 has a similar feel to the Dualshock 3, but more comfortable and really good responsive controls.

As for a hard time using Xbox controllers, I will admit that their controllers are great for first person shooters. I'm trying to convert to the PS3 controls when it comes to shooters but am having a hard time adjusting. Don't know what it is. I aim and it takes me forever to line up a shot. Don't know if it's the game or me (game in question is Killzone 2)

One genre the Xbox controller is bad for in my opinion - fighting games. Compared to the Dualshock 3, I just find it horrid.

Meh, I've grown far too close to my PS controller designs to worry about getting used to something else. And now that the analog sticks are even better, I have even less to worry about in the control department.
