There have been several good Alien movies in the past, but I am surprised that there has never been any reasonably good Alien game in past 30 years of gaming industry. That's really a shame, because I think that the Alien stuff would make for a really killer game. Nevertheless, this game looks all set to fill the void. What do you think?

Is Alien Isolation going to be the first ever good Alien game?

There is a stupendous amount of great material the games devs can work with to make a superb game, which could very easily be lead into a series ( i believe there are books based around the Alien/Aliens time line too ) so it just needs one half decent game to get the ball rolling. I have a great feeling in my bones that this time they will nail it with Alien Isolation. Very excited about this game.

Oh boy I hope so! The thing is, it can be possible. This game certainly looks like it's going to be heading in the right direction. I just hope to God it won't be the disaster that was Colonial Marines.

The only aliens game I've liked was Aliens vs Predators, that was reasonably fun.
However I do agree games have been lacking as of late.

Aliens vs Predators was OK,but far from a top title as well.
From what Ive seen so far from this game Im not keen on it.Im just not keen on all the stealthy side of it and going through the game with little or no weapons hiding all the time...(Hello Outlast)

I don't think I'll pre order the game or buy it full price unless I see a review that changes my opinion. However I agree with you, the game is quite stealthy and while I like stealth gameplay I usually like stealth action gameplay and not pure 'hide stealth' that this game seems to be.
Oh my! Don't even make me remember of that disastrous game. That game crushed all my hope that I had for a good alien shooter.
