Batman: Arkham Knight delayed into 2015

Yet another highly anticipated title has now been delayed into 2015: Batman: Arkham Knight.

In a way to "ease our pain", Rocksteady have released a new trailer revealing the Batmobile Battle mode which you can have a look at below:

Used to be mad at games being delayed into 2015, put it just seems common-place now don't you think? :p

I can't believe I missed this thread.

Hmmm,

You're correct I believe, a lot of games are being delayed.

Personally I'm not too upset. I think we have a good enough line-up to make gaming more interesting into 2015. I just hope nothing else gets delayed.

There is so much stuff that have been delayed to 2015 from their scheduled launched. If anything, it shows that the console launch was rushed as hell. Not a lot of games were in development for these next-gen machines back then! Well, we can say that next-gen truly begins in 2015!

I am just happy that they want back to Rocksteady games to make it, especially after the disaster that was arkham origins. Atleast you know that them pushing it back means that they are going to deliver something of quality (atleast we hope its on par with arkham city and asylum)

Batman needs to take a few years off. Anyone else agree? The media (comics, film, television, video-games) have showed him way too far down my throat at this point. I have as a result lost the taste for him.

It's kinda of a pleasant yet painful news. On one hand, I am happy that they want to polish the title a little more, but I will have to wait a bit more to play it. The wait can be really painful at times.

Although true, I would like for them to make a "Batman Compilation" combining all the Batman games released on current gen and port it to NEXT GEN. Sadly, I wasn't able to play any of them. :(

There has always been a lot of Batman out there for those that wanted it, but it's only recently that it has gotten so much mainstream appeal. The Tim Burton movies were decently well liked and popular (but probably only mediocre in the eyes of critics), but nothing even close to how popular the Christopher Nolan movies have become. The Dark Knight has sort of become the Empire Strikes Back of this generation, with "Why so serious" being the new "I am your father".

I will tell you that I am a bit upset at this news seeing that I was watching a few videos of the game over the weekend but I will tell you that I think that when they delayed the game that it just means that they will be giving us a quality game. The videos that I have watched of the game are really interesting and I must say that it made me really want to have the game.

Come on guys!

Why would you do that to us? You're only making us hurt more by showing off trailers and stuff.

Damn! I was so hyped for that game! I hope it really comes early 2015 and not right before christmas shopping begins. I want to play that game so bad and I can't wait another year playing Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Origins. But the trailers look promising already so I guess it will be worth the wait.

As we were told to expect when Sony announced the PlayStation 4 bundles earlier today, the PlayStation Store pre-order for Batman: Arkham Knight is live in North America for $59.99 in the United States and $69.99 in Canada.

While it’s still early, the PlayStation Store lists the download size for Arkham Knight as 45.3GB, with the game running at 1080p.

I enjoyed the last 2 batman games, though they feel a bit short. These games always feel limited as well when compared to GTA which pretty much lets you do anything. I wonder how the driving will be, Batman will surely not be running over pedestrians, so is the AI always getting out of the way? Can he damage other cars around?

Poor pedestrians... :grin The driving with Batman games is a new feature so I think we will be able to smash pedestrians for sure, maybe it will generate a penality of some sort. And probably we will be able to damage the other cars. I'm curious to see if we will play with Catwoman again.

Is there video showing this? I cannot see this happening with Batmans EXTREME no kill policy. And really, for a guy who does not kill, he sure carries a lot of lethal weapons in that car.
