As for OP's reason why, the reason devs/retailers are showing PS4 as the main cover for this gen is because PS4 seems to be the console that the majority of devs are focusing on as a lead platform.
MLB The Show is the only sports franchise that seems to be console exclusive I think. The only reason it is that way is because Sony publishes/develops that series. It's pretty bad business sense for a sports title to be a console exclusive.
