PvP or PvE?

Will you be spending your time in Destiny on Player vs. Player combat or Player vs. Environment? For those that don't know, Player vs. Environment is stuff like campaign or battling non-human opponents on raids/strikes. I think I'll be doing both, but will probably explore the PvE aspect more as it seems the world is huge. The story in particular is intriguing. What are you guys going to spend your time on?

During the alpha I focused almost exclusively on PvE, and I hope to dip my toes into some PvP during the beta. I'm still pretty rusty with the sticks, though, so I may hold off until I feel I won't embarrass myself.

If I decide to get Destiny, I'll probably focus on PVE -I stink at PVP

I had a lot more fun with the little PVP in the alpha than I did with any other shooter for a long time. That being said still probably mainly sticking to PVE. There will be more to do there.

Didn't get into the alpha last time. How many modes in PvP were there? I saw a capture the flag type of mode similar to Conquest in BF4. The scoring was kind of odd though. How were the maps size-wise?

Both! The PvP is basically Halo while the PvE is basically HaloXBorderlands. Both are connected in that EXP and drops carry over, so why wouldn't you try to focus on both? PvP is simple EXP and gear to use in PvE.
