August PS+ Line Up Leaked (Now confirmed, read link in first post)

Here's what has been leaked:

Playstation 4 owners will get Octodad: Dadliest Catch and The Swapper i.e another two indie titles. Playstation 3 owners with Playstation Plus subscription will receive Saints Row 4 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (a dream line-up, they can't get anything better than this).

Playstation Vita owners with Playstation Plus subscription will receive 1001 Spikes and Atelier Rorona Plus. We have not yet received any official words from Sony, so consider this a rumor for time being. With just few days left for the arrival of August 2014, we expect Sony to make an official announcement soon.

If these are the games we get. What do you think?

Personally the PS4 content will be a laugh. Octodad looks crazy enough to be worth a bash and I haven't heard anything about The Swapper. PS3 line up is golden, I've never played any Saints Row games so that's worth a bash and I've always wanted to play Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon but never gotten around to buying it (I also forgot about it) so that's my opinion.

Octodad would please me as I have been wanting to play that for a long time and The Swapper looks really darn good. I do not care about 1001, but I will be grabbing Atelier Rorona Plus.

I'm not sure if I'm being honest.

Bummer for me as I've already played or own the two PS3 games. And not really interested in what the PS4 has to offer this month. But that's ok. Like my backlog isn't big enough already!

If this is legit they are certainly one upping Games for live this month. Thought Dishonored was a good offering but this combination is way better! A shame they are still giving indies for PS4 but I assume we have to wait like a year into the system cycle before we can start seeing 1st and 3rd party full games on it.

^ a dev for 1001 Spikes and a dev for The Swapper both confirmed that their games will not be on PS+ in August.

Maybe Octodad still has a chance though!

I'm gonna play the hell outta Fez and Dragon's Crown on Vita. Bummer the Atelier game didn't end up being true though...

True, there are certainly a lot of indie games here, but I think we lose sight of the old saying, "free is free." Granted, we do pay for Plus (roughly $4 a month) which gives us access to the games, but people tend to lose sight of the other benefits to paying for Plus.

Well without being cynical...the only reason I have PS+ is to play online. I get the exact same experience on my PS4 as I do on my PS3 and even though I pay for the service it still goes offline for maintenance in UK prime time as not to upset the Americans.

I am excited for Dragon's Crown. I almost bought it about 3 times since it went on sale for 19.99. If it hadn't been ps+ in August I was going to buy it.

Ah I have always wanted to play Dragon's Crown! I remember reading reviews about it when it first came out and it looked like such good fun. May also try out Crysis 3 seeing as though I have played all the previous ones so I might as well finish the series. Good month!

I have never been too big on the Crysis franchise and I think 3 was my least favorite.

I played Crysis 2 and it was... ok. I figured Crysis 3 might be slightly better. Maybe not lol.
