Thanks Oberon. I appreciate it. It's my third post. I've had the PlayStation 2 but by not the 3. I purchased the ps4 yesterday with a 3 year warranty with 2 games for $614.
I'm amazed by the experience. The dualshock 4 controller look and feel amazing. I'm loving the ergonomics, the lighting for different senorios etc. man I was missing put

Welcome to the website! I kind of wish I went with the additional warranty. I have Sony's, but that is almost up. I think I might send my console in, make up some excuse about it, and get a brand new one just because. Or does this make me a terrible person?

Haha. Not at all. I hustled a deal at JBHI. The deal was to get 3 games with the console for $600. But then I thought it would be wise to get a longer warranty rather than 3 games. So I got 1) the last of us remastered and 2) kill zone ( regret). The extra warranty cost me $90. Which in fact added up to $614. My budget was $600 but what the heck It was worth the extra $14.
I won't have to worry for the next 3 years .

Yeah, Killzone was a regret of mine as well. I bought it because there was nothing else to really get at the time and I wanted to test the PS4's power. Thankfully I managed to get like $35 for it so it was not a complete waste.

I bought my ps4 yesterday. Would I be allowed to return kill zone? I really dread the game. Wana pick up something better maybe watch dogs? Or infamous?

Umm, you can call and find out. I have no idea who/what JBHI is, so. There is always a way! I would say skip Watch Dogs and pick up Infamous--I enjoy(ed) the latter more anyway. One thing is certain, both games are far more enjoyable than Killzone. Not that Killzone isn't fun, it just... is kind of disappointing.

You are in AUS right? Only asking cause you mentioned JBHiFi.

Also note that in AUS (not sure other countries) that although you get 1 year warranty from Sony we have something called a consumer guarrantee. This by law covers you for longer than the standard 1 year warranty.How much longer is hard to say,for anything,depends how much an item costs.
I mean you can't expect a $10 fan to last for 3 or 4 years and expect a replacement it breaks.
But I know of people who paid $1000-2000 for a TV set and had them replaced under consumer guarrantee even after the standard warranty was up.
Since the PS4 is about $550 in AUS one would expect 3 years total is not unreasonable I would think.Without paying extra I mean.
I did think about getting an extra 3 years cover through Harvey Norman (where I bought mine in AUS) and they wanted about $130 I think it was. That was launch day.
The consumer guarrantee is why I did'nt.
Many people say if you go with an extended warranty you are paying for something you are entitled to anyway...by law.

Thats how i felt when i got my ps3. It seemed like a totally different experience.

Yeah I'm in Australia. The salesman was pretty cool offering me a cool $90 and swap a game for the extra 2years. I was lucky.

I wonder how much out cost don't to make the ps4 because it the fan is really $10 then I can't imagine havering this product for to long without a warranty lol.
I'm happy either way.
I always tend to add and extra buck for pricey items especially if I know they are prone to wear and tear.

Yeah I agree. I've played on my brothers PS3 and compared it to mine, it's on another level.

Hi Sekelani! I agree with you about the DS4, it is a great controller. If you have never played the first 2 inFamous games it is a great game to try out. Even after playing the first 2 it is still an awesome game but some think it is repetitive of the originals. Enjoy your PS4!
