Is there going to be a new UI?

Overall, I'm okay with the new PS Dynamic Menu but I wish that Sony would change some of the things on there. For starters, there needs to be different sections for contents. The apps and games are starting to build up and having to navigate all the way to find an old game is a hassle. Also, there needs to be a quicker way to access game saves. I hope that they'll add folders like the old XMB one day.

I don't think they'll change the UI. Just like the PS3 UI it just took a little time to get used to, but they most likely won't make massive changes. I don't think it's too hard to find old games, but that may also be because I don't have that much games yet.

I didn't like the UI on PS3, on PS4 it is fine at the moment. I can see what you mean though and issues might arise later into the console cycle but I think we will all just have to adapt to it just like with the PS3 one. I prefer Xbox in terms of menu navigation (minus the ads of course) as it is much cleaner and easier on the eye. Something about the PS menus just irritates me.

The PS4 UI is pretty ugly right now. The fact that I cannot arrange my games and so forth is incredibly annoying. I suspect this to change eventually, although not any time soon.

I dont like the UI, but the fact is, I only spend 10~15 seconds each time I turn on my PS4 in UI, so its not a big downside for me.

I wish the UI/dashboard functioned more like a desktop than a line. Not a grid per se, but a space that permitted me to drag icons and so forth around as I please. Or at least arrange things in alphabetical order!

Like I said it's not bad but I wish some things were not they are right now. I want the option to group the type of contents like games in one category and stuff. Right now, even finding the recorded videos and screenshots feels odd how I have to go to the User thing and look for it. One major issue is no changing themes, even changing colors is not an option.

The PS4 UI has its ups and downs. There are some glaring flaws that we, unfortunately, probably won't see any fixes to anytime soon. I could see a minor update somewhere down the road, but I'm not expecting anything drastic to change in the next couple of years. It would be nice if Sony would fix the sorting issues and other things. Still, I'd consider most of these issues glaring but not crippling. They're no fun to deal with, but they're not deal breakers either.

Pretty much true. I have same wish as everyone else(just add a games folder), but the Xbox UI with advertisements that take up almost the whole screen is just gross.
