Are you bored with any game series yet?

So many games get a yearly release that one or two of them is starting to bore me. For starters, Call of Duty certainly takes the cake. It's basically the same game every year. This year we'll be seeing two Assassin's Creed games. At first I thought Unity is good and I might get that and now Rogue gets announced for PS3 and I thought that's too much already. I'm not saying that Assassin's Creed is a bad series but an annual release is making it stale.

Probably most of them. COD, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield - most of them. The only series that I'm looking forward to its next entry is Borderlands and Metal Gear Solid.

So let me get this straight. You would rather play the same franchise game for 2 or 3 years then?
You would rather play Black Ops 2,Ghosts or Assassins Creed Black Flag for 2 or 3 long years? Not me,that would get boring,in many cases,we need yearly installments.
Either that or forget them altogether and focus on new games all the time.

Games that have only had say 2 installments in a console cycle is not good either.
For eg we MK vs DC Universe and MK 9 on PS3. We had GTA IV and GTA V on PS3 (doubt we will see another GTA on PS3). Is that enough in one console's life?
Im not saying a yearly installment of GTA would be good for the series (or would it?) but 2 games in console life span? Thats not much either.

It's fine line I guess.

I'm bored of the Watchdogs game so please don't make a sequel Ubisoft.

Fifa seems to be very minor updates from year to year and I'll give the next Need For Speed a miss in favour of a more serious racer.

Yeah I'm kind of tired of Assassin's Creed, I thought the franchise was great but Ubisoft got way too carried away, I mean the games aren't bad but the thing with these yearly releases is that there's almost no time for the series to evolve into something new and as a gamer you have almost no time to really enjoy the game since you're always in a hurry to finish it before the next installment gets released. Also, the series hasn't really explored itself further, the game has a lot of potential to begin with and has a ton of possible storyline to venture into but they kept on sticking to same formula every year. I really think game companies should make a 2-5 year release instead of an annual, give developers more time.

Call of duty takes it here but that being said... Will I buy cods next release?.... Probably yes.
Their is no reason for them to stop making the series they have a ridiculous following.

Not that I want to play the same games for 2 to 3 years but I want to see some spacing in between games. Release something else in between and not the same games every year. Isn't it silly that we can basically tell what games are going to come out every year during the same time? AC not only has one but two games getting released this year.
