release date confirmed by gamestop!

so recently gamestop has revealed therelease date for minecraft next gen edition. it is said to be released on the 19 of this august. its not confirmed by mojang though, just gamestop.

These sort of dates are thrown up all the time as placeholder dates. Although I have to admit, usually they are not so early. While I can appreciate Minecraft, I am not the biggest fan of it. I would rather be outside building villages and sculptress and so forth with my hands; be they with LEGOs, wood, or whatever. The game promotes creativity and problem-solving sure, but despite what can be done within the game-world, it is too contrived to me. You do not measure twice and cut once only to screw up the cut entirely. Further you do not measure something incorrectly but use it anyway only to figure out on the fly how to make-up for it through further construction.
