this will make you sad

Me too. Couldn't believe it. Grew up with a lot of his films and he was always a pleasure to watch. Just devastating news.

RIP Robin Williams. You will surely be missed!

I couldn't believe it myself! It is very tragic indeed. I really can't believe he killed himself. It is so unlike him!

Heard this when I was at work this morning.
Terrible. Some of us 'older' people remember him still from 'Mork and Mindy'.

My most definite favourite film of his is "Mrs Doubtfire". Grew up with that one and still cracks me up every time. A very very close runner-up believe it or not is "Jack". Another one I grew up with.

Thats' the one my missus mentioned.

Actually,I quite liked 1 hour photo. Diff role for sure, but he did it very well too.

Only seen that one once but from memory I liked it.

I've never seen Good Morning Vietnam though. I feel I should...

This was on the news when I turned it on this morning. At first I thought I was misunderstanding this for Robbie Williams – then it dawned on me when Robin's picture come up. Very sad news indeed and I'm genuinely gutted. Robin Williams is someone who was not only a decent comic, but in my opinion a very fine actor who is up there with the best of them.

I grew up watching a good amount of his films. Mrs Doubtfire, Jumanji and Hook being three notable highlights amongst many others. On a personal note, 'Hook' is still by far and away my favourite 'Peter Pan film' / version of the character. It seems largely forgotten these days…

I knew he had problems in recent years but didn't know they were still ongoing. What goes on in the mind of someone who is seriously depressed must be truly atrocious (I've suffered from minor depression in recent years and that was bad enough, believe me). To feel bad enough to take your own life must be a horrendous, dark place to be. Very sad indeed.

Unfortunately, Robin Williams is just another one to add to the list of decent famous people who has passed away far too young.

My sincere thoughts and feelings go to his family and close friends at this time.

Other than that, RIP Robin. :(

Really sad indeed and a real shocker. I never knew Robin Williams had a depression problem. Though i never liked him as a comedian, i did like his more serious roles in movies like, for example, One Hour Photo. I just find weird that him being always such a goofy guy, nobody noticed he had depression problems. And if they did notice, they didn't try to help him. But maybe they did and i could be wrong.
