Grand Theft Auto V - First Gameplay Footage!

Now that was awesome. I wasn't really that interested until I saw that video. Granted, I haven't played a Grand Theft Auto game extensively since Vice City (though I've played almost all of them at least briefly), but this looks like a must-have. Unfortunately, I think it will almost certainly be better suited for the new consoles, and I'm not planning on getting one anytime soon, so I'll probably have to wait a while anyway. But I suppose that works out since I hardly ever pay full price for a game, even one that looks this good.

Okay, it looks cool. But I'm not that impressed. Based from the video, the graphics are not much of an improvement from the last iteration (or are my eyes just a bit blurry). But I see that there are a lot of activities to do. I even saw a bit of tennis in the video footage. Is that actual gameplay? Seems pretty interesting...

That was indeed actual gameplay :)

I do wonder if they will make some sort of "Ultimate Edition" for next gen consoles (after the PS4 has been out for a while)

First, the graphics are stunning. They have really polished that series hard. They also added so many mini games that I'm hoping that they are good. I remember bowling in the past games and that was iffy. I hope that htey also have incentives to exploring such a vast map. Rockstar is really good about having collectables but I need more then just collecting stuff, I want it to have an effect of some sort. I like the idea of planning your own heists. That could be really fun. I'm pretty excited about this honestly!

Yeah the gameplay trailer was very impressive in my opinion and looks like just the GTA I've been waiting for. The new 3 character dynamic looks pretty interesting but what excites me most is the level of freedom it seems you have in the game. IT really does look like you can do basically about anything in the game, from diving in the ocean, to flying jets across mountains and the city. Not to mention the online for the game looks like it will be absolutely crazy.

Weren't we able to do this in GTA IV? Still it's great to see that the things that players could do in the game are increasing every time there's a new GTA. It's a bit mind boggling if you think of all the things that can be while playing. But then again, all that Rockstar has to do is to add some bits and pieces here and there to the previous game so that it becomes a whole lot bigger and bigger. Who knows, maybe after a few more iterations, they could build a game world that's as big as the earth itself.

This looks scary good. I liked the 3 player very much and I think it will be great to play those types of missions. Rockstar has always had a good read on the pulse of GTA, and they always knew how to expand on it without ruining the core idea. From the looks of it, I'm guessing they are probably putting in ideas here that they have been wanting to do for a long time. Lastly, the dialogue is great and cheeky as usual.

"Stop it, you're ruining my yoga!"

This game looks spectacular and I am very very excited for this game, 3 characters, vast and huge landscapes graphics are supreme, can NOT wait for game~

The only reason I bought GTA V was so I could scuba dive and fly a plane. I'm interested to see what the characters do when you're not in control of them. It would be nice if they weren't busy getting themselves arrested or something along those lines. They could also have a feature where they are training their skills or something?

I like everything about it so far the graphics, game play, and the characters. Hopefully running and jumping and other basic mechanics are better than GTA IVs.

I liked the way the characters all worked together and you could switch between them at opportune moments. That's something pretty unique, but it reminds me of certain RPGs where you swap the active players at certain points. The gunfights look a lot better than they used to be, though, which is what really caught my attention since that's the part I struggled with in past titles.

Just to give you guys a heads up (in case you didn't know already), the debut online gameplay for GTA V will be coming this Thursday!

Augh, Rockstar you got me again! I won't be able to hold out for a GOTY edition if this keeps up. It's like San Andreas, but with even more stuff. And hell it looks like it has multiplayer like the SA-MP mod, and that was once my life for a few months.
Damn, when is the multiplayer video coming up? I want to see it!

[EDIT]
OH WOW! That should teach me to check the last post before posting myself!
But man, 3 days? That is a lot of time, i can't wait that long....

With GTA 4 I didn't even go online for months. The single player is always my focus in these games, as typically I don't play online. Once I had learned the city an epiphany came to me. Playing free mode online is kind of the ultimate game. A completely open environment with guns and other people to test your wits and knowledge of the city against. I've lost many people using my "secret" getaways into the subway, etc. I like to see how often I can take out a fellow player with a rocket launcher.

Now to bring it to GTA V, I feel that whatever Rockstar has cooking here will definitely pique my interest and get me into GTA Online fairly early in the gameplay experience. I'm excited to discuss it once Thursday rolls around!!

Agree,I think the GTA single player aspect is defo these games main part and its what we all buy it for,but you never know how GTA V MP will be.

Yes I'm getting pretty hype for that online reveal. The initial gameplay trailer has blown my mind. This appears to be the GTA game we've all wanted with tons to do and a big map to do it in. Anyone unimpressed by the trailer is either blindly jaded or just not a GTA fan. Can't wait.
