Persona 4 Golden

Is anyone enjoying this game as much as me? Played the original on the PS2 a lot of times with a friend, and really having some great fun playing this on the go.

Anyone want to share their experiences with it?

I've been a huge fan of the Persona series ever since I tried Persona 3 Portable on the PSP, and I must say, Persona 4: Golden is also great! I like that this time, they didn't remove the 3D elements for navigation like they did in P3P, as I find it a lot more fun running around town than clicking on little bubbles. The interaction for SOS calls when playing is also very interesting, though I feel like they could have developed on it as a feature much more!

First time, I remembered playing Persona I completely in love with it. I remembered beaten this game four times. This game definitely gave me a reason to keep my PlayStayion Vita.*

Can't wait to check this out, I tend to get sucked into games like this and I don't mind that a bit. Though my friends and family will probably miss me.

Yeah, I', a huge fan of the Persona series, so it's great that Sony is covering all their bases by releasing Persona games on all their systems. I've loved the Persona games since playing 3 on the PS2 many years ago. I also enjoyed the fighting game that was released on the PS3 as well since it was a nice change of pace from the usual. Hopefully Sony decides to go ahead and make Persona 5. Whether it's released on PS4 or Vita makes no difference to me, as long as I get a chance to play it.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game as well. I might not have it yet, but this is just another reason to obtain a new Playstation console. It's going to be likely one of the first games that I gravitate the moment I finally get my console. Of course, that's assuming the release date is soon after I get it.

I cannot tell you how much of a fan of Persona I am. I love that game. Everything about it is enchanting and now I feel like jumping back into Persona 4. I'm happy that the series is continuing and I can't wait to see what they do on the PS 4 with it. There's a part of me that wishes that it would just go out to PC, Xbox and PS at the same time though. I'd probably buy it for everything and let some of my buddies borrow it just to experience it. Though, there are few who will believe you when you try to explain that people point a gun at their head and pull the trigger to bring out their persona, ala Persona 3.

This was the reason I bought the Vita. I heard amazing things about the game but didn't have a PS2, so this was perfect.

I've been having a lot of fun with the game too. I love the character dynamics, the story and the gameplay. Everything is just so right! I'm currently up to that D&D dungeon with the warp walls at the moment.

I reckon what would have made this game perfect was giving it the option of a female protagonist, or at least the chance to have Yaoi coupling because Yosuke is such a cutie. I tried walking into the ladies toilets and the game was just like, "You're not allowed in there," and I felt very sad.

Honestly I really want to play the darn thing but it's not enough to warrant a purchase of the Vita to do so, I really enjoyed Persona 3 and have had a good time with the time I've spent playing the original Person 4. It's really the only game out at the moment on anything that I just ache to get my hands on, but alas I would have to put down too much money to do so.

This old thread was at the top of its section, thanks to the last poster. This is a fantastic reminder that I gotta play through the game again and get the Platinum. Just need to get the compendium to 100% (I stopped at around 98% or something like that!), read all the books, defeat the secret boss, max all SLinks (this is why my compendium isn't at 100%) and fuse the ultimate Persona I think. I don't really remember too well but I think that's about it. I already did all of that in the PS2 original just for fun so yeah...

This game is the sole reason I want to purchase a vita, though recently I heard P4 was announced for the ps3. Anyone know if it is the gold version or just a direct port of the ps2 game that's been upscaled?

I finished Persona 4 back then, only to find out they are releasing P4 Golden, with new content and story. While I was happy that I get to play with the Investigation Gang once more, I was a little sad as I don't have a Vita back then XD

The new Ultimate Persona for all members are a nice touch, more bosses to fight with, but I felt Marie was unnecessary at the beginning. But eh, I eventually warmed up to her. Glad she is making it to the Persona 4 Ultimax too!

Its been awhile since I checked the Vita section and I just saw this. I loved Persona 4 as a game. It was a great entry in the Persona series and more challenging than Persona 3 while maybe not as challenging as FES, just my opinion on that since I thought FES might be the harder entry in the series from my memories. I need to see if I can borrow my buddy's vita and throw this down since this is considered canon as mentioned above I want to get a hold of what's different from the normal game, or I might just read some wiki later.

It's Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the sequel to P4A (which was a canon sequel to Persona 4!) that's really driving it home that Golden is the canon now, since Marie is in it and playable.

Kinda silly because it basically makes P4 original kinda... obsolete?
