Metal Gear Rising

I've been watching some gameplay on Youtube for a while now and decided to give this game a try. Boy, what a disappointment. I mean, this game is nothing like the old ones. What's the deal with the sword and those giant robot monsters? I didn't like it one bit. I think they should of called it something else instead of crapping all over the Metal Gear series.

A lot of people actually enjoyed it. It is not intended to be regarded in the same vein as the rest of the series. The game centers around Raiden and as such it is an fast-paced action game. It excels at what it set out to do. From what I played, I also enjoyed it.

What did you expect from a game made by Platinum games? They are known for making action heavy games. If you will play the whole game with that in mind, you are really going to have fun with it.

The game is excellent. Good ol' Platinum game like the others mentioned. There's a reason it's called Rising and not Solid.

I know man! They should've just called it Rising or Raiden and not slap Metal Gear on it. I've played the game and I thought it wasn't a bad game it's pretty good, very glitchy by the way but the fact that they put Metal Gear on title is really pushing it.

It's still in the Metal Gear universe, that's why they called it Metal Gear Rising and not Solid you nut. In fact, it ended up being one my favorite games..

I am glad that there are still gamers like you around who don't complain about any minor deviations from the trend. Remember the outcries about the change i face of Dante? It was ridiculous.

I don't know about you guys, but i'm not really into those futuristic games. Any game that's set in space, in another planet or in the future is not my thing. I don't like to spend hours blasting monsters and stuff- I like the more realistic games, like GTA, Kane & Lynch, Max Payne or Hitman. Just my humble opinion.

I like seeing different genre's in the same fictional universe quite a bit in fact. Not enough of that if you ask me.. I personally didn't enjoy DMC but it wasn't because of the character design. It was more about the gameplay aspects..

I actually tried a demo of the game and I think that it is something that was just fun to play but just not what you would expect from a Metal Gear type game. I really think that they slapped metal gear on it so that it could sell some copies of the game easily.
