Seriously? It's totally not a kid thing. I find I celebrate it more as an adult than I did as a kid. Yeah its great for kids. Its a wonderful holiday for kids but its so much fun as an adult. We have a big Halloween party and costume contest at work. Me and my friends usually get together every Halloween (or at least close to it) and have a costume party and get hammered. And in college? Forget about it. Just absolute mayhem. There's plenty to do besides trick or treating. Maybe its just a cultural difference. I feel Halloween is a really big deal here in the states.

Its big in the UK as well but I don't know the holiday never seems all that great in my opinion. I don't really like dressing up or really putting much effort into Halloween. I enjoyed it as a kid and have attended a number of Halloween parities as I've gotten older but I've never really seen the appeal.

I totally agree with you here. As an adult I've had more fun on Halloween then I ever did as a kid growing up. You get to dress up get wasted and just a really fun night. Also alot of bars have Halloween specials on drinks if you wear a costume and what not. Sometimes if we get drunk enough we tend to go egging houses lol. Its happened the past two years with my group of friends haha. Halloween is a pretty big holiday in the States and its also fun.

A lot of adults look for as many Halloween opportunities throughout the year as possible. Just look at the cosplay community.
