How to get Free PSN games

As the title states this is about free PSN games.

At the moment I'm not quite sure how many free games are on there but I believe there should be a few too check out if you guys don't already have them.
Walking Dead Episode 1, Back to the Future Episode 1, Capcom Arcade, Tekken Revolution. Those are just some of the ones I saw that interested me, so if you don't have any of those you should check PSN out soon.

DC Universe Online (there are subscriptions for it but it's optional I think - the base game is free)

Spartacus Legends - which was only released a few weeks ago.

There are also some freebies that are only exclusive to certain regions. I know Back to the Future Ep. 1 and Spartacus Legends is only for the US.

Ah, didn't know some of those were US only thanks for saying that.
Hmm DoA game, well can't possibly be bad can it, I'll probably give it a go when it does. Also I can't say I've heard about any other games being released for free to the masses, guess I'll just have to check bad every now and then or look it up.

Dust 514 is one I'm definitely interested in. I don't really like the DC game, but I haven't yet figured out why. Thanks for putting this up - I don't generally mess around with PSN. Then again I don't mess with Live too often either.

Mind you this is the EU store but if they are on the EU store, chances are they would be on the US/NA store also.

DC Universe Online is awesome. If you never tried it you definately have too. There are all the characters you expect to see in such a game. Teh gameplay is decent, there are a lot of missions and as always in such game there is a lot to explore and to make besides the things that follow the story.

Jellyfish is right, I've not played the console version but I did at least enjoy the time I spent with the game on Steam. It would probably be best to try and get some friends to play with you if you can manage that, it will definitely help in the long run enjoyment of the game if you do plan on playing.

Another free to play game is heading our way, exclusively on PS3: Ace Combat: Infinity.

”Set in a precise near future world and including beloved elements like super weapons and hyper-real visuals, the game will offer a brand new story campaign. It will release September 25th.

You know, Namco Bandai has another game that's f2p coming to PSN aside from Ace Combat Infinity. It isn't getting much attention as of yet, but Ridge Racer Driftopia is on the way to PSN also. F2p model and all.

I tried out Dust 514 and personally didn't like it. It's like a combination of halo and battlefield. You need to use way too much ammo to kill someone, and the controls are so different then most of the first-person and third-person games out there. Also half the players run around the map just shooting everything thinking this is cod.

It's not free in the normal sense that all the other games mentioned are. Jet Set/Grind Radio is only one of the temporary free games on the Instant Game Collection on ps plus right now. US version ps plus

I'm kind of confused are these games just for PS Plus or are they for just normal members? and have you tried the walking dead i have really wanted to try that game but actually never got around to playing it or even buying it.

It's both. Some people made a mistake and mentioned some of the free PS Plus games. But yeah, most of the games mentioned were the actual f2p games.

Thanks for that hopefully my ps3 does not freeze so i can go on there and collect a few because i am looking for a few new games to make me a bit more entertained because atm all i have is call of duty and Fifa which bore me to death.

Maybe, if Gamer_Fries reads this, the original post can be updated with a list of the free games listed in this thread that are currently on the PS Store (PS Plus games not included). And then I can Sticky this thread if Fries is willing to?

I can't find any free games is there a certain thing i have to go on to see the list i go on PS Store and i see nothing free only for PS Plus users.. can anyone help me out?
