Hello Haymansafc, why do you say that?
I understand you feeling because I am 46 years old (today, because yesterday I was 45.... damn!!) and my friends list counts the
huge amount of 5 friends.
They are five good friends though and everytime I meet one of them (or more) in a multiplayer session is always a party and we have a lot of fun.
Except for one, who's my nephew, I met the others online, just in one of those sessions where we feel abandoned and forgotten. To enjoy multiplayer gaming at its best you have to share it with people like you, like minded, more or less with your same "
style and speed" of playing. So, the best way to meet new fellows is to jump into multiplayer sessions and play. Sooner or later you will find your buds, no doubts. Another good method, let's say quicker, is a place like this Forum, where you can meet friends before playing with them.
And do not forget that such kind of games offer the possibility to open private sessions, so you will be playing only with those you want. I don't mean that the story mode is less amusing, but the future of videogaming will be more and more "social" oriented. In my opinion you're not behind at all. It's only a matter of trying. Believe me, the first time you will join a good mp session, you will end up thinking: "Oh boy, where have I been untill now?".
