Is the PS4 actually better?

Everybody at my school has there own preferences about which console they like better. When ever they argue over PS4 and Xbox1 they really don't have any valid points. So, why is the PS4 better than xbox 1? Anything from games to specs.

A simple search of google will give you the answers you seek. Basically, the ps4 video hardware is 50 percent more powerful than the xbone. This means little now but could really come into play as the years go on. I find the playstation exclusives to be more adult themed than xbones, which is perfect for me. Just go with your gut feeling, that way you have no regrets. They are both great gaming systems

As some said earlier, the specs is a bit higher in PS4, although that doesnt mean much as the developers dumb down games to run the same on lowest capable console.

The other argue point is exclusive games, some people prefer PS4 exclusives some Xbone, its a matter of opinion.

Then we have the fanboyism which is a major factor for decision making

xbox has better shooter exclusives, ps4 better everything else.

The obvious reason is the hardware specs, and the PS4 wins that. Now that Xbox has stop requiring the Kinect, that may have unlocked a little more for developers to use, but who knows.

Xbox seems to bring their big exclusive titles out sooner than PS, but I prefer the PS exclusives.

I hear a lot of complaints about the Xbox party system. People say it can be a real PITA. That actually surprises me because they had it perfect on the 360.

Nobody here can tell you which is better. That is a personal preference.

The XB1 does many things the PS4 does not, and vice versa. I own both consoles and think they are both great. I probably prefer the PS4 because I like trophies more than achievement points.

I don't care which is actually 'better'. Each is a quality console in their own right. From my understanding, the XBox One is a better overall 'entertainments system' whilst the PS4 is a more powerful console, more suited to general gaming.

At the end of the day, I just want a console in which I can slot in a disc and play. Whatever else they can do is irrelevant to me. Internet? I've got a reasonable enough laptop. DVD's? I've got a VHS/DVD combi player (yes, I still have numerous VHS casettes). CD player? I have a four foot speaker tower that my iPod docks into. Turn the volume up on that thing and it would probably blow the windows. Netflix? I don't even know what it is or actually does. Something to do with films...?

I want a games console to be just that. A console that plays video games. Nothing mire, nothing less. Anything else to me is simply garnish.

Therefore for me, with having had the PS1, PS2 and still using the PS3 (although if all goes to plan, it's very much in it's twilight now), the PS4 for me is the obvious choice.
