2tb hybrid drive v laptop drive

I would love to put 2tb ssd drive in my play station 4 but it cost 3,000. I wonder if hybrid drive would offer some of benefits of ssd?
I saw youtube video where guy had installed ssd drive and games start so fast.

You may see load time increase but are the benefits worth the cost? The reality is you pay so much per gig as opposed to mechanical drives. I grew up and got used to load times so it really doesn't phase me. Plus I can get a few puffs on my ecig while I wait for the game to load

I think load times like Titan said are your biggest concerns with using a Hybrid drive. You also open up a whole can of worms with drive modifications with regards to warranty's as well. I might be wrong but I read somewhere if you use a 3rd party hard disk e.g. Not a Sony approved one that you warranty can become nullenvoid.

I'm actually not sure about that. They made a big deal about how it was user upgradable before launch. They also made the swap very easy to do. Don't see why they would offer that then say it voids your warranty. And if it does, swap it back to the original before servicing. They'd never know

Changing your PS4's HDD will not void any warranty you have.
Sony even has instructions on how to replace it on their site.

I wouldn't worry about warranty. I would be more concerned about unwanted complications

Just buy a hybrid-drive it will do you just fine.
