PS4 and Remote Play Options

I have a PS4 and I want to try remote play using the PS4 controller. I know that I can't leave the house using this configuration, but I can sit on my back porch or in the bed and can play.

Of course I could purchase a slightly used Vita, but I've been reading that I can also use a tablet (maybe a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite running 4.2.2 or a NEXUS7 1B16 running 5.1.1). That would give me a 7" screen, which is a better option, I think, over the smaller Vita screen.

I've been doing a lot of research over the past 48 hours on this and I see that it was possible 6 months ago, but I can't find anything recent. I've checked Reddit and YouTube and XDA forums and it seems this is just old news so no one is discussing it anymore.

Can anyone here enlighten me?
What are you using for Remote Play?
Can I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite?
Can I use a Nexus 7 1B16?

I'll sit here and wait for your responses...

You'll need to search for the modified remote play.apk Once you get that, you can install it on just about any 5.0 and up Android device, and use remote play.

I use it on my Nexus 6.

Just confirming...You're sure it's 5.0 and up? I thought anything above 4.0 would work. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 yesterday with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

I was aware of the apk being required as well as another apk for the use of the controller.

Are you using the PS4 controller with your Nexus?
