What PS1 game sequence scared you the most?

Probably the most creepy game sequence that I have ever encountered on the PS1 was the intro in Silent Hill wherein Harry Mason crashed his car and his daughter went missing. I then took control of Harry as I pursued a shadow in the distance which seemed to be his little girl. I pursued aimlessly, running after the girl even though it lead me to a dark alley wherein I passed a creepy wheelchair, a hospital bed with a bloody blanket covering who knows what and ultimately lead me to the imps who stabbed me with their knives.

Don't have one. By the time I got a hold of a PS1 system I had already desensitized myself to most things. That said I think the most memorable would be the zombie dogs crashing through the windows on RE. That run was awesome at the time - not I have Condemned with me trying to out run a gosh-golly bear.

The most scariest sequence on the PlayStation 1 for me would have to be the first time you run into Nemesis in Resident Evil 3.I was totally freaked out since he was different from every other zombie in the game. He was a massive lurking tyrant who you couldn't even kill. All you could do was run away and hope to survive.

Hoho, this is on my list of scariest game sequences on the PS1 too. He's big, he's scary, and all you can do is run like hell when he's around. The "dog jumping through glass windows" also provides some great scares. The reason I chose the Silent Hill beginning sequence is that it was so unique and different.

The scenes in Parasite Eve where the dog is mutated into a horrible beast, which reminds me of the sci-fi movie "The Thing." Also, there's the scene in the beginning of the game where you thought it was just a parrot which later turned into a hostile.

Hard to say. I guess it's Resident Evil 2 for me but I can't name a particular sequence right now, it was just too long ago.

What I can clearly remember is the intro sequence of Silent Hill. The music makes me go crazy. It's not really scary but if you know the rest of the game you know what I mean.

I agree. Silent Hill was one scary game. The opening music was just creepy. There were some sequences that creeps me the most, like the rattling locker thing. Imaging seeing a dead body and being pounced by an otherwise harmless cat. It's a really scary experience, especially if it's your first time playing the game.
