Will you buy the PS4 the first day?

So, where are the maniacs that plan to do that? And how much money do you budget at all (console, accessoires, games)?

I won't do that, no money. Plus I don't know if the start titles will really be the ones that are that attractive to me. I just wanna look at it first and then decide. Always good to have some opinions to be able to make a good judgement.

I would love to, but in reality I know I won't. I think I will aim at getting the PS4 within the first couple of weeks if that's a possibility. I know it's going to be absolutely crazy the minute it is launched, and being socially shy I'd rather avoid all that.

I probably won't since I always tend to buy consoles once they drop in price. I feel the experience is the same from getting the console on day one, and playing all the exclusives compared to buying the console 1-2 years from now at a cheaper price, and buying the same exclusives. I also tend to look for reviews to see which console is better, and which one I would buy.

So you're a member of an Xbox one site as well? ;-)

Ive never bought a console at launch before but this time I will,Ive pre ordered a little while back.

$548 AUD is cheaper than any console at launch before it.Even not taking into account time period.

(AUS prices)
PS1 1994 (early 1995) $699
PS2 2000 $749.95
PS3 2007 $999.95
PS4 2013 $547-$549

And dont forget inflation,so the prices for the older consoles were bloody more than the price now.$700 for the PS1 back in '95 was more than $700 is today.

So Im really happy the PS4 is as cheap as it is.You all should be too.

I would love to get the PS4 the first day, but I dont think im going to be able to. The funds have been short recently, so I dont think im going to be able to save enough money before launch. I will be getting the PS4 a few months after the launch date likely.

I strongly doubt it. I'm still torn between PS4 and Xbox One, and I will probably wait to see which ends up with the better exclusives and gets the best reviews before I make any big choices. I just don't have enough extra money to be spending on a brand new console unless I KNOW it's the right one.

I'd really love to get PS4 on day one, but realistically speaking I might not have the money (what with the cost of other games I still want, and living and such) so I might end up having to wait until the holidays. Still, fingers crossed, right?

I will not be picking up the PS4 at launch simply because I do not have the money to do so, also I don't feel like putting down 500 bucks on the console at the moment. I'll probably wait till a least a small price drop some time after release, I think I can manage with my PS3 and Steam to keep me company while I wait for this one.

Nope, I don't preorder anything nor do I buy things on teh first day. I prefer to wait a bit to see how the situation unfolds. For all I know we can get a repeat of the red rings of death from the 360. It's safer to wait for everything to blow over, maybe even wait for the next model with some problems fixed up. And after a while the price should drop a little too.

That's a bit factor for me. First-generation technologies always seem to be filled with bugs and glitches. Whether I'm buying a car, a TV or a gaming system, I want to wait to make sure they've really thoroughly tested and repaired it.

You are right on the first batch of consoles that come out,you never know what bugs they may have in.FW update can o some way to fix things though.hardware faults are another issue ofcourse.
For eg I bought the 80GB PS3 Fat model,first was the 40GB I believe.
But with regards to the PS4 nah,I know it may be a (small) gamble but Im going for it this time. Will be the first console I get at launch.

The only reason I'm probably not buying one on the first day is because almost every Sony console I bought on the first day still didn't have all of the bugs worked out. I bought the PS One the day it came out and 3 months later I had to turn it upside down to use it because the cut scenes would glitch if I didn't. I bought my PS2 the day it came out and after 2 months it would randomly turn off in the middle of a game, or it would not read my memory card. I didn't buy the PS3 until about 11 months after it came out, and that was also because the price was ridiculous. I like that the price of the PS4 is reasonable, but I'm still going to give it six months at least before I get one.

I'm not sure if the PS4 the days of its release! There are many other games that interest me on PS3!
Espèere I have my console as soon as possible! In addition, for a PS4, I need a new HD TV. I play on an old TV. But the image quality was still present.

I have contacts who can sell me a HD TV not too expensive. I think I'll start in 2014 (My PS4 and my TV).
