Sony to talk about PS4 release plans and Vita on Gamescom

Sony has stated that they are going to talk about some announced and unannounced games as well as talking about the release date for PS4. I for one am going to have my eyes peeled. What about you?

Same here man. E3 is just for some game announcements with little bit of gameplay footage or mostly a CGI trailer to hype up the game or any platform. This year's Gamescom will be the real deal.

Quite a nice surprise from Sony releasing this info today. Hopefully it releases in early November because I for one can't wait much longer for my PS4!

Pretty excited for Gamescom, it's probably the second convention that was most important this year, aside from E3. E3 introduced the PS4 and Xbox One and Gamescom will announce more titles, and potentially a release date. As much as I want Sony to do well on their panel, I hope Microsoft does better compared to their last E3.

I'm interested in what they have to say about the Vita. It has pretty much been a failure for them (in the West anyway) so I'm wondering where they will go with it next. They haven't been very keen on rescuing it, so I think that they will be slowly moving towards abandoning it, but who knows, maybe they have some ambitious project up their sleeves that will revive the interest in the Vita, but I doubt it to be honest.

Yeah, I am definitely looking forward to this, and like Haze said, GamesCom is almost as highly antcipated as E3 was this year. I've been hearing so many rumors about the supposed release date, from late November to October, so I'm really eager to find out exactly what the actual release date will be. Hopefully it is indeed released in October.

Just one day to go guys! Unfortunately I will be sleeping when all the conferences will go live as it will be 2.00 A.M. in my country. I will watch it somewhere else.

Getting really close! Ugh, why can't they all be staggered out? So many press releases from so many companies, not enough hours in the day... I dunno where to turn first. If Blizzard gets covered at the same time as Sony, well... That may be the hardest coin toss of my life to date.

Well, that's why we have places like YouTube and Dailymotion mate. Don't ya worry. Even if we will miss the livestream entirely, we'll still be able to watch them later on. It's not a PPV show like WWE.
