12 minutes of Dying Light gameplay! Here it is:

Reminds me a lot of Dead Island meets Mirror's Edge honestly. But those next-gen graphics! Me want!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this. This game it showing a lot of potential. The map seems huge, the day/night dynamic and the parkour has me sold. A few more details and a video or two and I'll put it on my wishlist. I didn't get Dead Island and never got into Mirror's Edge which is a good thing I'm not jaded on the mechanics at all.

I'd be lying if I said that I am not excited for this game. I mean, who wouldn't be after seeing this amazing 12 minute of gameplay footage? It looks really promising to say the least. I love the fact that the game will play differently during the daylight and after the dusk. Did you guys notice how the game changed from and average Dead-Island-style-zombie-killing to a survival horror game in last few minutes? It's just too good :)

Man I was just looking for trailers for this game and I stumbled upon this. It looks really promising, but so did Dead Island to me. I hope this doesn't end up being a disappointment too...

I remember hearing that they made it so that you could enter every building in the game. This video sort of emphasis this.

I know this is nitpicking, but did it bother anyone that when he fell through that building, the zombie that was waiting, back towards the door as the character came out of the rubble, didn't hear the building falling apart behind him? I guess it could be argued that the zombie is a zombie and that it didn't care, but I always thought that zombies were attracted to sound...right?

Regardless, the game looks gorgeous and fun. I'll be keeping my on this one.

Dead island was no disappointment there were a few bugs but it was not that bad i enjoyed 1 and 2, and this looks good i bet it will be similar and no disappointment at least not as bad as rambo.

Perhaps not a disappointment for you, but it definitely was for me. I was expecting a bigger emphasis on survival but it was just a regular action RPG with a zombie setting. I still enjoyed it, but I expected much more from it.

Usually yes, this would be a classic failed "attention to detail" component, but the way the game deals with day and night almost makes it seem on purpose or at least excusable. During the day the zombies are sluggish, unaware and have their heads readily available to be jumped off of (interesting mechanic btw lol). During the night though, the zombies are super aware and you have to use stealth to get around.

Anyhow I'm interested in this game too and my eyes will definitely be peeled for the next trailer or info tidbit.

I definitely enjoyed both the games of the Dead Island series, but what is Rambo and what it has to do with Dead Island or Dying Light for that matter?

I love the whole parkour thing it has going for it, it looks like it will be fun just climbing and jumping everywhere. It looks so visceral and tense.

That gameplay video really confirms everything I had hoped for after seeing the trailer. I was called skeptical because of how excited I was about a game without seeing any actual gameplay, but here's the proof. Running and standing your ground. Fighting and sneaking. Human and zombie enemies. This game seems to have a surprising balance of everything that's right with the video game industry. I'm incredibly excited for this one already, and I'm definitely buying it.

Parkour, that's the word I was looking for. Very cool, I like the idea of Dead Island in a city type environment. This is going on the "to buy" list.

Game looks promising I will definitely attest to that. I like the emphasis on exploration; The developers also appear to have put a lot of emphasis on how you interact with the environment - my only feedback would be I would like to see a little more interaction with the zombies. What made the Dead Rising series fun for me was the ability to interact with the waves of zombies that filled every level. Granted this game's direction is that more of exploration and problem solving but I think it would benefit from a little more direct zombie action. We will have to wait and see what the final game plays like.

After watching this I am somewhat disappointed or at least wanting to know more about the environment. When I watched the trailer I saw vast size and open world, to me, this is open world but not on the scale I was expecting.

I mean this was a pre-alpha and therefore not even a proper build of the game but I almost expected skyscrapers etc, like we saw in the trailer. I'd also like to see less of a focus on combat and more of a focus on running. I mean think of it this way, if you have two or three zombies, yeah blasting them out of the way is more than appropriate but if we have more then I don't want combat to be an option. I think this game needs more emphasis on survival.
