Do you play online?

Does anybody here like to play online? I sometimes like it but when there are games where people are wearing headsets I just get annoyed. Nobody with a headset has anything intelligent to say, it seems.

The only games I play online are Facebook games when I'm really bored. I burn out on them pretty quickly though. Maybe it's just anti-social of me but I'd rather stick to IRL people for home playing or play alone.

I don't, except for maybe short freebie games on the computer. I don't like talking to people wearing headsets, either-- it's just annoying, and usually there's always at least one person who can't stand a girl playing something they're playing.

I play online games. They are much more fun than just playing with the computer. The best thing to do when there are annoying players is to defeat them.

I think I mostly play free online games, actually. I'm kind of cheap, so it takes me a long time to actually buy a new game.

I didn't mean to say that everybody with a headset knows nothing. I mean that the people with headsets usually do nothing more than insult other players or yell out curse words. They don't typically use them as they were meant to be used.

There are some players who are helpful when they use headsets especially on FPS games. They will help their teammates locate the enemy faster. But if the players are just plain annoying then better find another server or shut the speaker down.

I do not play online games, because most people who you play against get too serious about the game. I just like playing for fun, and I prefer to play by myself, or with family.

I am the same way about playing games online as you, MsKong. I would rather just play by myself. If I'm going to play with other people, I would prefer to do that in person with friends.

Same here! I know not everyone who has a headset is a bully, but so many of them are that it's just easier to stay away.

I play online games all the time. I play games like Candy Cruch Saga, Family Freud & Friends, Words With Friends, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader, etc. Playing online games is a ton of fun, especially playing against friends.

I play online, but not on the PS3. I played Uncharted 3 online for a while but I got sick of getting killed by getting shot once in the foot after shooting the enemy players in the face 15 times. I won't write off PS3 multiplayer altogether, but the games I'm played so far have lacked balance and don't really appeal to me. But in general, I play online quite a bit.

I do! I love playing online, that's a huge thing for someone like myself so I always play games on my computer and online on my PS. I feel everyone's pain when they say that the community can be a little bad, but that's what happens when you get online anonymity. You do find nice people from time to time and just ignoring the trolls/flamers is easy. Especially when you beat them and get them really mad > : ).

I play online now and then. I think some games are greatly enhanced by the ability to play online. I mean, COD just wouldn't be the same without the online capabilities. The same goes with GTA I think. I still love to have a good game of Turf War, it's still fun all these years later!

Yup, I play online. It's more fun playing against real players in a first person shooter as compared to playing against the AI. I agree that people sometimes say the dumbest things but that makes it so darn funny. It all adds up to a very enjoyable experience for me.

Yeah, specially fighting games. How crazy it would be if i told myself years ago that i would be fighting people from the other side of the world in real time? Oh, the technology evolved!

Sometimes. Talking with 12 year old kids is pretty amusing at times when I want to have a good laugh. Say one thing, and they go crazy on you, and throw out all the swear words they know! I specifically play FPS online since I want to see how other people play, and how they are compared to me.

I just mute the voice options altogether. Hardly anyone uses them for what they're meant for, and when they do they're usually drowned out by others. I didn't like having to reset the voice options every time I played a match of Uncharted 3 online, since on Xbox Live all you have to do is change the settings on your console once and that's that.

Right now, the only thing I play online is FIFA 13 and even that very little, because I enjoy more playing the career. Used to play FPS games online, mostly Killzone and CoD but got a bit tired of them.
