    The sound on the ps3 was alright. But how would the same set up work if I was connecting ps3 to receiver via ps3 a/v cable?     Thanks! No I don't mind :D Yes I have audio out of my tv...its currently connected via RCA to surround sound. My receiver only has RCA. This setup worked great for my PS3 as I had PS3 to TV via HDMI, and TV to Receiver via RCA...

    I have a question too...I too need help with my surround sound. So, I have a fairly old Sony surround sound that only has analog output/input. Is there a way for me to try to get audio out of my ps4 (through settings and such) or am I better off just upgrading my system?

    Two part question...has anyone used the digital output cable for audio output? also, can you use the labeled "sony digital output cable for ps3" on the ps4? thanks!
