I'm starting mine today, so I 100% know what you mean. I get that vibe as well, and it is something I know happens a lot with longer games, JRPGs specifically. But that goes more unnoticed because the games aren't anywhere near as popular, and often don't change so drastically after several hours.

I know that is what Gamesradar is doing. I don't Destructoid, but I'm sure others must be handling it that way.

Review scores are dumb, but this was an especially bad situation. So I'm just going to talk about Destiny specifically. The servers didn't go online until the day before release, but most major sites posted reviews a day or 2 after release anyways, which doesn't work for a game like Destiny...

I just watched one of his videos to see what all the fuss was about. He...This is aimed at children and the developmentally challenged right? Are we all just way outside of his target demographic?

I'm enjoying the post level 20 grind. It is taking way longer to feel like I've accomplished something, but that makes every new piece of legendary equipment feel so much more rewarding.

I don't like let's plays in general. This medium isn't meant to be watched. But this guy seems like the worst... I don't get it.

I saw my little brother last night and he mentioned Destiny felt a lot like if Phantasy Star Online was a FPS. We each played that game for at least 300 hours. The more I think about it the more accurate that kind of feels... Anyone else here play PSO like 10+ years ago?

I don't think these are the types of games where most exclusive content would even work...

This game is even available on most phones for wicked cheap if people want to check it out. It is kind of a point and click adventure game where you are in a Chuck E Cheese and the mascots are evil. I really like the idea if nothing else...

I've played enough now that I think I can chime in. Destiny is becoming more fun the further in I get. I'm level 16 right now. So we'll see if that continues. There is definitely a lot of valid criticism of Destiny, and I largely can't argue with any of it apart from a whiny "But it's fun".

That was actually really fun, that second mission was ridiculous. I almost couldn't imagine doing it alone, there were just too many enemies... There was a point where I ran out of ammo, and just meleed guys for almost a minute waiting for some to drop. That wasn't one of the times we died, so...

I ended up with the Clem by herseld ending, which might be the worst one...

Yea, I wish we could equip swords. Even if they weren't as over powered as that one. And no worries. I just jumped into someone else's game. Not a huge inconvenience. Have a good night!

This song is stuck in my head, and it is strangely appropriate. But I don't have a prefect day ahead of me, more so a series of perfect weeknights, and I'd like to share them with you. So, my wife is going out of town for work for a few days, and this is coincidentally the week after Destiny...

I'm definitely noticing more loot on later missions, still nothing like Diablo and such though...

I rarely play something that isn't a new release, there are just too many new games to keep up with. If I have an extra few days I'll go back to something older that I missed, but it is rare. Part of me wishes the whole industry would collapse and there would be no new games for like 2 or 3...
